Yeah, or you could say 13 plus Logue plus your future 2nd but all semantics. There may also be some late swaps involved also

I think you guys should definitely try and keep your future 1st if the rumours about next year's draft being very good are correct.
Specifically many highly ranked WA players (who we are definitely prioritising lately) in 2023.

I'm hoping that most (including me) have misread his forward abilities because Melbourne's entries are so diabolical and he actually has forward talent. Then this could become a great trade for us... except we have just as bad forward entries as them.
A few still think he can make it as a forward. Wouldn’t surprise me if he plays high half forward link up role.

In the finals he did get to the right spots just didn’t hold his marks. Hopefully a couple of big off seasons can change that

You can post silly vids all you like.

But its a valid point.

Jackson has shown he wont be a bust and he hasnt reached his peak. That is why Freo are paying him so much for so long.

Not sure how you could disagree. Apart from trolling.

Are they?
He's more likely to be on 500 for 5 then the horse shit Danster keep spouting

If you watch how many times he gets his hands to the ball inside 50 it’s a lot.

It’s something you can fix
He gets his hands to a lot because he, Gawn and Brown are always standing on top of each other in the forward pocket. It's predictable but hard to mark. What you want to see is him getting his hands to balls in 1v1s which is almost impossible with the way the Dees played this year.

Matthew Jefferson?

Is he rated that high? I thought it was Cadman then daylight.

Just imagine how good Jackson would look recieving lace out passes from the likes of David Mundy.

The article said ports pick 8 for 13 and at least 1 2nd rounder

That's terrible. We gave up a 2nd for 14 down to 12 last year. People seem to think that the difference between 8 and 13 (which will be 14 or 15) could be quite alot. Seems to be against our trading history where we have set points on fire to trade up ala 2018/21.

I'm suspicious of that report unless there is some fringe player Port wants from us or something.

Fringe + 2nd obviously. We have no other picks of value so I'm just spitballing a way this isn't total bs.

8 for 13+2nd+ fringe player is still poo. You just don't trade out picks that high for anything other than genuine quality. Guys like Lipinski go for 3rd rounders. The only teams that trade out 1sts for a clutch of 'stuff' are getting rid of it due to bidding on F/Ss. Without that being an issue, it would have to be pick 13 and another high pick (18-20) which you won't do.

It's where the trade talk shows are at their weakest. We don't have to help you find a solution to getting Jackson and they are lazy dumb people trying to generate discussion. If Pick 8 is worth more than 13 and a 2nd to Melbourne, then it's probably worth more to us as well. If we want one of your fringe players we would pay you what they are worth i.e a 2nd or 3rd round pick and its upto you to turn what you have into Jackson.

I'm not disagreeing with you if that wasn't obvious already.

Agree, it’s a very poor deal for Port.

No, it was clear that you were playing a bit of a devil's advocate. I just find the whole media to be a pack of ****wits. They'll post the most inane rubbish this time of year. 90% of the trades are so bad, the AFL would intervene in them.
