Good to see excellent early season form on the match day thread. Rarely anything insightful to say about the players or even the scores for that matter…and 75 percent of posts whinging about the umpiring.
It's match sim, not even classified as a practice match, lol.
Its hot enough standing out watching the game. In this heat l'm not expecting us to go full throttle, plus we don't want injuries from these games....

My head canon is that Fly instructed the umpires to look after North to test our players patience and see how they deal with it lol

To be fair many of us were in the first quarter (mentioning players)
But the umpiring became legitimately farcical in the second. We also played quite poorly.
You could see the intent in that five minute match scenario. The cream rose to the top. Missed getting there though. So the match sim was, North lead by 7 points with 5 left to play. Collingwood tries to win. Missed by 3 points.

IQ Been poor in 1st Half
I think the umps are in match sim mode to, and trying a few different things with their decisions to see how they go down with the crowd. If they get abused they won't bring it out in the actual season, lol....
He's in 4th gear, and rightly so. Why would you want him going 100% in this game?

It's a new rule we don't know about yet!!
After a blistering first quarter with multiple standouts, I'm scratching to find good players in the second.
First Quarter: MacCrae, DeGoey, Lipinski, Hill, Schultz, Nick, McInnes
Second: McInnes made the most of opportunities, Ed Allen showed a bit, Steene did a lot of the ruck work.
