Commentators now making excuses for pies saying all their stars are out.... which they are. But in the first qtr this was not the case.
Exactly grrrr

I reckon we are going to go into most matches with 8 or 9 players capable of playing through the midfield (LDU, Simpkin, Phillips, Powell, Wardlaw, Lazarro, McKercher, Sheezel and Zurhaar) and we are going to try and run every team off their feet. If that's the case, it's going to be fun to watch.

LDU lack of effort there directly led to a Collingwood rebound and inside 50.

He's a gun and we know what he can do, but for a lot of today's game it seems like he's stayed in 2nd gear and hasn't wanted to put in 100% effort. Bit weird to see.

Just me, or anyone else noticing this as well?
Not just you.

He might be under instructions to let the younger guys step up (and that has a flow on effect on his level of intensity) cos there are times when he does alot around the ball.

He’s in third gear. Still looks like a complete star.

Hardeman trains exactly how he plays too. 110% intensity at all times. Was on the B teams a lot during pre season so was always under the pump. But everytime he had the ball he would always run on hard to get on the end of the next one. Big work rate, could absolutely see him get a game early on.
