Honestly the only out going player I really understood was Coffield going to his childhood club on the back of 2 years out of the game effictively. Cant celebrate Higgins and then condemn Coffield for similar things.

Gresham and Billings leaving just makes me think neither wanted to put up with the demand of Ross Lyon and for two players of their ability thats just weak sauce imo.

Gresh left for money and to play in 'big' games. Billings left to just get a game.

Both Billings and Gresham were clearly pushed out by the club. We would have offered them a lowball contract at best, so them going elsewhere is 'technically' chasing money, but in reality it's going to a place where you're being appreciated and a chance to reinvigorate a languishing career.

1. Win the flag.

If not, this season is still somewhat of a success if…

2. Neither Essendon or Carlton win the flag.

3. We beat Essendon and Carlton in any match we play them in.

4. Or we at least beat Essendon at every juncture.
