Liam Henry, Darcy Wilson, Riley Bonner and Hugo Garcia have been named for their first official appearances in Saints colours as part of tomorrow’s match simulation against Essendon at RSEA Park.
The Saints will field a near full-strength 26-man squad for their first hit-out of the year against opposition, headlined by skipper Jack Steele, All-Australian Callum Wilkie, new leadership group inductee Rowan Marshall and key forwards Max King and Tim Membrey.

Jack Sinclair (calf), Brad Crouch (knee), Hunter Clark (concussion), Paddy Dow (knee), Dan Butler (ankle) and Zak Jones (concussion) are among the players who will miss Friday’s match simulation, however all have eyes on potential early season returns.
Several Saints – including some who have been selected in the AFL match simulation – will take part in a VFL practice match for Sandringham against Essendon’s VFL side at RSEA Park later in the afternoon.
Those attending on Friday are strongly encouraged to utilise public transport to get to and from the game, with parking around RSEA Park extremely limited.

Both Billings and Gresham were clearly pushed out by the club. We would have offered them a lowball contract at best, so them going elsewhere is 'technically' chasing money, but in reality it's going to a place where you're being appreciated and a chance to reinvigorate a languishing career.
I'm very glad the club now has the grit to do it. Both those guys were way overpaid and we won't miss either of them.

Bigfooty tragics… ASSEMBLE!

Sure, it’s only a preseason game… but if we salute, I can’t promise to be humble about beating Injectington…

Appreciation in advance for anyone recording the game and uploading it later for those of us without access to Kayo.
Was going to say get the Watch AFL app but i checked it (I use it when I'm overseas) and it's only got the official practice games starting next week. Someone help this man.

It should be on Kayo free, you need an account registered but doesn't need to be paid/active. There is actually a reasonable amount of free content worth watching on there.

If Gresh gets booed by us, I'd be pretty disappointed.
agreed but,we booed jhf for no reason connected to st.kfc whatsoever, lets hope those in charge at the club have more important things on their minds than the moron element who booed jhf and WILL boo gresham

if as a fan your going to a game to boo jason horne francis,im thinking a st.kilda flag is very low on your list of priorities,i imagine your around or under 30 and your memories are 91 92 97 98 2004-2011 & your thinking"no flag but life isnt so bad"well im 55 and seen a whole lot of shxx, record score against kicked by 11th placed bulldogs, greene trade,4 spoons in a row,5 in a decade,3 100 point defeats in a row to start 1985,thompson towell up jarman in first half of a gf,then not get put back on him for obvious reasons,

so frankly booing some punk that never played for us ,but just because he changed teams is the last MORONIC thing on my mind

my mind is filled with pleasent thoughts of celebrating a premiership so f'n hard that im laying on a slab within the week after keeling over from a heart attack, horne francis and gresham can go please themselves

A little dissapointed that Schoonermaker didn't get a run in the firsts. Would love to see his kick out of defence into the forward 50.
