He is the most boring player in the modern game.

Clearly you never watched Lockett & Dunstall at their primes.

Pathetic game by Lloyd tho'. Thank goodness it was only wizard stuff not season proper. Hopefully he's got it out of his system.

Damn I wanted us to win the cup but hey it's good to see Geelong & Saints play off for it.

He is the best forward in the comp. Not many other players worry me more when we play them.

He is not soft, but neither is he tough, intimidating or imposing. Sheedy and Matty should concede this, move on and just let him stay at FF and do what he does better than anyone in the country.

He is not Wayne Carey, he will never be a competent CHF but 15 clubs would do anything to have him lining up in the goalsquare.

When Lloyd was playing in that almost unbeatable essendon team of 1999 to 2001, he had excellent delivery and plenty of it, no need to try and find other ways of getting the pill.

Unfortunately he now finds himself with a lesser midfield, delivery is not as good or as frequent. i think he also finds himslef against physically stronger backmen who will block his run and harass him, causing the ineveitable wrestle, which Lloyd takes as an opportunity to take that dive as he is more prone to do.

I agree 100%. Facts are facts and whether you class a 'champion full forward' as a player who has to suck the umpire in to get cheesy frees to add to his goal tally is not going to the real definition of champion in my book.

How about a bit of credit for the defensive game played by the opposition? The combined efforts of our midfield pressure and the close checking by all out defenders starved him of opportunities.

Lloyd is good at what he does and how he plays the game. We didn't let him play that game and got frustrated. He'll be a little bit embarrassed by the replay – no role on “Neighbours” for this guy. But he’s a barometer of how the rest of the team plays. Put the midfield pressure on any team like we did last night and key forwards will struggle.

Last night, once Sheedy saw they were in trouble he started to experiment. He learnt more about his list last night than he would with a ten goal win. He also learnt a lot about StKilda. And since we play so early in the season, I think the match committee would be happy with what they took out of the game and couldn’t give a toss about Lloyds performance. They know how he can play.

At last someone with something sensible to say.

I'm amazed at all the crap being spoken, after all it's only a Wizard Cup game.
