Roast Media Shakes Head, Part 8

Every time I open Twitter or Instagram I get blasted with either Collingwood tragics (wah Rioli should have got the death penalty) or the ******* AFL itself.

Right now there’s a blog like AFL post about going over to Adelaide to ‘turn off the Power’ and ‘what’s Collingwood’s best win in the past two seasons’.

Just * off

I recently joined a Port Adelaide fan group on Facebook where many within were describing our performance as something to be super-proud of, we proved we can match it with the best, and one even claimed Collingwood are the greatest team of the generation — with the usual breathless praise for Dear Leader.

Mason Cox, Brody Mihocek and Beau McCreery inhabit that forward line, not exactly Franklin, Roughead and Breust, but at this point, sure, why not.

Footy Classified on a Wednesday night = The Collingwood Footy Show

I particularly liked Eddie hanging Willie on the striking charge and then saying it was probably good he got a week to deal with the racism or words to that effect

Then they cross to some random chick fanboying Eddie who turns out to work with him on Millionaire

It was all very disturbing

And the way they run the Monday and Wednesday night shows make it look and sound like 2 different programs.

I often watch Monday night because it has some useful and insight stuff. And while I didn't like Hutchison at first he has turned into a pretty good host who keeps the other panellists in check and knows a lot more about what's happening behind the scenes than he likes to let on.

But haven't watched the Wednesday night show at all this year because it is all about Eddie friggin McGuire and the way he dominates discussion with his shouty views on anything Collingwood.

The only things I don't like about Hutchy are:

1) The pantomime theatrics and hand gestures he makes to Lloyd as the end credits run
2) His constant use of 'Footy Clas' (seems to only do it when throwing to the first commercial break)
3) "The five time, yes, five time" - ugh....

In relation to the Bond brothers, Greg Griffin says on 5AA that it's not about money!!!

Can only assume that any payment to them will need to come out of the distribution to the Variety charity.
