Fox Footy icon Kelli Underwood has opened up on her “amazing” Australia Day honour, after being recognised with an Order of Australia for Services to Broadcasting on Sunday.
This has 'will do more harm than good' written all over it.

No one should be given honours for just doing their job…. .. politicians, sports people, no one… let alone for actually how competent they are …. Maybe the orange team nominated her.

Agree completely. Even so, if just doing your job is sufficient then how come nurses, ambos, teachers, aged care workers etc etc never get a gong? It’s only the high profile or the wealthy that get the big awards.

There are people from those fields that recieved awards.

I feel like there are too many awards in general in society. Next you will receive an award for simply surviving.

I'm not sure there are too many 'average' punters get the big gongs - unless they have a profile. Stiff for the quiet achievers.

Personally, I think that whilst not quite to the same degree we got back at Hawthorn a little by making them pay more for TB than they would've liked anyway. It just unfortunately took the trade with Carlton to get to that point.

And in the end it all worked out quite well for use considering how the draft panned out.

The main comeuppance though, will be if the Hawks somehow fall off a cliff this year. So let's just hope Hawthorn ended up ****ing themselves over.
A probable late first rounder( could be in the 20s. A probable late second rounder could be in the 40s and a third.not overly sure they overpaid for a guy they really wanted when they had back up picks.
Although I am hoping they have a catastrophic season

Strong West Coast boomer energy right now.

Bust out the Chardonnay?

As soon as you see the phrases "participation awards" or "I identify as" you just know those posters bought their house and land for under $10k.

I identify as a participation award

And it was 6 times that

I watched it Yesterday. If it hadn't been for the abundance of points would have been over a lot earlier. Was thinking we need Jason Ball in the current side.

Ball was seriously dynamic at that point. Then went on to become a lumbering lump of a ruckman. IIRC it was the result of numerous leg injuries?

Came back to haunt us in 2005 as well :(
