TOLD YOU GUYS/GIRLS that the investigation won't affect membership numbers or sponsors in the short and long term - Unless the players are suspended.

Prior to investigation we were consistently tracking above 2011's record figures. Immediately after investigation we're tracking constantly under.

You could make the argument that the 'scandal' has had a far less effect on membership than first thought but it did effect membership.

We're on track for a good year, probably still hit that 50,000 mark but we could have hit 55,000 if not more.

Got my card yesterday and an email today saying the pack had been sent out.

I received my card but still waiting on my pack...pack was sent in December but never arrived so got another sent and still waiting.

yeah.. unfortunately it is the same for all clubs.. you need good NAB results and good Rnd 1,2,3 to get those 5,000 extra 'bandwagoneers' engaged...

also I think we are started to feel the effect of poor onfield efforts thus far, lack of energy regarding season prospects and the 'cloud' over the club...

it will change if we go 3-0 to start the season..

Thats a slow week, especially when you consider that there was family day involved.....

There has been a slow down over the last 3 or so weeks. The jump we had just after the story broke were a lot of new members signing up. There are still a number who were members in 2011/12 who have not re-signed yet.

Really hoping for a big first 3 or 4 rounds to give the membership tally a boost again. 50,000 is certainly not a certainty yet.
