I have noticed our 2024 Membership options look a lot better/more flexible than they used to.
Our numbers belie our standing as a club, we should be around the 85-90k mark, not mid-high 60's. How does a team like Geelong get 82k? West Coast 103k?
A quick scan of other clubs shows we all are on a level playing field membership package wise. So its not like other clubs have a huge advantage.
Each club has 5-6 game memberships, casual, kids, interstate, general/reserve seats and GF guarantee upgrades (except Collingwood supporters at the moment)
Perhaps this club is just really poor at signing people up, not enough staff to engage with the fans at renewal time or both. A state of 1.8M people should attract more members than 68k to its most popular sports team.
