If it isn’t one of the obvious ones (Howes, McLachlan, Blight), would love George Grey on the list. Never plays a bad game, versatile, does the hard stuff.

Probably doesn’t hit a need as much as some of the other names available but he is one of the best chances at becoming an AFL contributor imo.

One of the 3 guys I like

Not sure about Will being a good fit for us. He seems to be kicking most of his goals from making a lead/free kicks. With our entries he will find it difficult, especially at AFL level imo.

Perfect! We need someone doing dummy leads to help clear space for the long bomb to H and C.

Very surprised if this happens, we have a chance to sign someone for 6 months, have a look and re asses, it makes no sense to me why we wouldn’t use the chance to observe someone.
From the horses mouth. Whether they do what they said is another matter. It was all part of a 15 min talk they gave after the players left the function. They took a few questions afterwards. Austin did "lips sealed" gesture when asked about Hayward. Did say he's for big contracts in front of him from Adelaide.

Surely our biggest need, in light of no JSOS and Martin always iffy, is a 3rd/4th tall?
Id say effective smalls forwards are more important for us atm.

TDK is playing a lot of forward minutes along with H and Charlie so there is plenty of aerial power and TDK is still relatively mobile.

So its a case of how much extra/less does TDK offer compared to JSOS?

That will be Hayward if he does come across, but I think we are covered if Moir can progress as expected. Should play some games next year.

I think we need an X factor forward pocket. Prime Eddie. Cameron, Papley, Hill. Massive ask, but someone who can create something from nothing and will constantly be a scoreboard threat. This player can also get Motlop off the leash.

I think we are covered for forward pressure (Fogarty, Owies, Durdin?), mid rotations (Hollands, Kennedy, Cottrell, Cuners?), ruck duties (TDK, SOS, Harry), marking targets (Charlie, Harry, SOS, Hayward?, Martin?), but a prolific goal scoring small will take us to the next level.

Remember the name: Stanley Waistcoat

And then, the young Stanley Waistcoat took centre stage.

The 19-year-old prodigy put on a master class in contested marking, seemingly defying gravity as he soared to pluck the ball from the sky time and time again.

Waistcoat was instrumental in setting up his own goals and those of his teammates, marking the impossible and landing four major goals himself in a blistering quarter.

“Waistcoat showed what he is capable of today,” said Sherwood coach Brett McEvoy.

“He is only 19. Today was a performance we knew would come from him eventually. He has been building as a player this season and is always very exciting to watch.”

The Tigers refused to go down without a fight, bringing the heat in the final term.

Relying heavily on the experienced duo of former Brisbane Lion Daniel Rich and Jonathan Freeman, Noosa ramped up the pressure, forcing their way back into the contest.

While Waistcoat’s aerial prowess was a highlight, the Magpies’ victory was a true team effort
