History will show we are.

One of the reasons we are is because your forward line lacks talent and when we strangled you out of the centre corridor, your talentless forwards then had to take shots on angles and couldn't convert.

Get used to it though, because every club is going to do that to you now. You want Boyle though, he'll fix it as the boy can kick.

I love watching the Geelong handbags still living in denial. LOL !
Whatever mate, everyone knows it was a massive fluke, and people will look back at Hawthorn 2008 as always being the underserving premiers.

My Analysis:
1. Gary Ablett
2. Lance Franklin
3. Joel Corey - Probably around 20-30 is right.
4. Luke Hodge - Around 10ish gun
5. Matthew Scarlett
6. Brent Harvey
7. James Bartel - I like him, far lower though
8. Brendan Fevola - 12ish, behind pavlich and a few midfielders for mine
9. Adam Cooney - good year bit high though
10. Chris Judd - about right
11. Sam Fisher - He's a gun but lower, swap him and Bock.
12. Matthew Richardson - Lower
13. Matthew Pavlich - Higher
14. Nick Riewoldt - swap him and Brown
15. Dean Cox - Should be top 10, swap with cooney
16. Joel Selwood - Total gun, 20ish this year top 10 next year.
17. Simon Black
18. Jonathan Brown
19. Sam Mitchell
20. Tom Harley - Lower
21. Daniel Cross - lower22. Cameron Ling
23. Max Hudghton - here because he did a good job on lance, might scrape in at 40ish
24. Nathan Bock
25. Andrew Mackie - Frontrunner, his role suits his deficiencies perfectly, nevertheless about 45-7
26. Chance Bateman - Lower.
27. Daniel Bradshaw - lower
28. Drew Petrie
29. Corey Enright - far better player than Mackie
30. Kane Cornes -
31. Paul Medhurst
32. Steve Johnson
33. Jarrod Roughead - out of the 50 (has he been that much better than lloyd)
34. Dale Morris - gun
35. Ryan O'Keefe -
36. Leon Davis -
37. Daniel Motlop
38. Aaron Sandilands - on his day can be the most dominant player in the comp (clearly deserved 3 votes against geelong ahead of Selwood)
39. Brad Sewell
40. Robert Murphy - lower, good player though
41. Brett Kirk
42. Brett Deledio - accurate will surge next year
43. Jarrad McVeigh
44. Dane Swan
45. Lenny Hayes
46. Luke Power - No
47. Scott Thompson
48. Michael Osbourne - Not a chance
49. David Hille
50. Matthew Boyd

Overall... this sucks, but it's not surprising. I'd possibly make room for Mark Mcveigh, Mcpharlin, Kerr, Porplyzia , Goodes

Re: Ablett

And for a bloke that was so clearly the best player in the AFL this season, how is it that he has no Brownlow, no B & F, no Norm Smith and no premiership?

Ablett was voted the best player of the year by both his peers and the AFL coaches..

So who cares what "Cryptkeeper" from bigfooty thinks?

As for the Norm Smith, He came second in that this year. Where the **** did Lance Franklin, apparently the Number 1 commodity in the AFL (according to you), figure in the Norm Smith? Or the Brownlow?

And Ablett does have a premiership- Geelong won last year.

But Franklin was playing injured in the finals and everyone knows the brownlow is for midfeilders.

your whole teams not accountable and do you even have any kpp's or does eade put your players where he throws em on the dart bord

your talking about a no.1 draft pick , a premiership player, and a norm smith medalist, an AA CHB

you fool think before you speak

How does the Western Bulldogs not having a KPP have anything to do with Luke Hodge's placing in the Top 50? I don't care if he is a number 1 draft pick I can still have an opinion about Luke Hodge.

Don't worry there is always one born everyday. It was a deliberate hook, line and sinker. :D

Chris Judd at number 1 whether he played for West Coast, Carlton, Albury Tigers or the Leeton Crows.

Best player in terms of the remarkable things he can do. Love the players that can take the ball, run dodge, weave, elude, kick with speed.

Ablett is a good alternative at number 1 if you have to have an alternative.

Ablett is better than Judd. :thumbsu:

So he isn't the necessary alternative, he just is number 1.

Richmond Fans

Buddy kicked 1.7 agaisnt you the first time round
Hughton is better than the hole richmond backline put together and much better than Harley.

A fully fit Judd is better than Franklin, Ablett by a long way... the guy is unbelievable when fit.

I really want to see Judd fit next year he would shit all over ablett.

I bet the Saints wish Mike was in charge of Freo's trading so they could offer him Fisher for Pavlich.

Does he actually watch teams that aren't from Victoria?

Dane Swan at 44?

2nd in the league in kicks, gets his own ball and kicks goals & can take a over head mark which even the Coleman Medal winner can't.

Top 15 is bad enough, but to have him at 44 is a crime.

Hawthorn aren't the best side in the comp mate. You guys were just lucky we couldn't convert our shots at goal, because we were thrashing you in general play.

I will NEVER get tired of reading posts like this. :D:D

Brings a smile to my face every time.
