I get all of that. Geez he requested a trade pretty quick didnt he? Why couldnt he have waited until around trade week. Can get out of there quick enough by the looks.

Maybe because we had our exit interviews that day. He told the club during him exit interview.

You know, when you would expect most people to announce such intent.

Since Carlton supporters don't get it:

It doesn't matter if McGovern is unhappy and badly wants out. He signed this thing called a "contract", not sure if you've heard of them... but basically it means he can't just up and leave no matter how sad he is. No actually he only leaves if we let him and get decent compensation.

Not a hard concept but Carlton supporters seem more stupid than the average so sometimes you have to spell these things out

That's what happens when another club offers to make him one of their highest paid players.

Money talks.

Not a difficult concept to grasp.

Have they? Im hearing a lot less than that. 3 years and incentive based.
Gov is already on $550K pa, so there is no chance he is giving up winning & missing finals for less than $700K pa...

Think some Carlton supporters are going to be very disillusioned come trade week.

No priority pick, no Shiel and no Gov and at the end of the next year, a new coach and a new list manager.

Not surprisingly though, a new rebuild will be announced
They could have a timber frame house with their amount of wooden spoons.

Carlton cared about Gibbs, we valued him worth two first round draft picks. In 2016 you did not want to give them, but in 2017 you did. Gibbs publicly stated he was happy to stay, but preferred to go home; in the end he got his wish.
We gave you ten, and pick upgrades.

You denied trading Gibbs on compassionate grounds, because SOS would rather win a trade than support his players.

It speaks volumes on the soulless nature of your club. Gibbs was desperate to unite his family and have their support, but you used his professionalism against him.

SOS will walk away if need be, he has done it before to Adelaide.

Let it be known very clearly, Carlton Football Club are not desperate to trade for Mitch McGovern. Rather it is McGovern himself who is wanting out of the Adelaide Football Club.

Bull.

Shit.

But they will still have SoS . Good times ahead
