Didn't take a single one, which is a norm now. So it is a bit odd to argue the result should be closer.

"If we did things we are incapable of doing we would have won"
It should have been single figures.

Yeah well the leadership and development the kids are seeing from our ‘senior stars’ is so amazing... if the crouches, laird etc are their inspiration what do you expect - they’ve played less than 10-15 games ffs...

at least they have a captain that set the standard...Doedee is the goods!

We had plenty of the ball going forward, missed a tonne of chances. If we had converted some of those seriously easy chances it was a close game.

I'm not suggesting we had to win , I'm simoly saying it wasn't a 5goal worse performance

If this, if that.

It was a 5 goal worse performance. A better side would have punished us more, even then the Saints punished us pretty easily.

Not converting chances is the norm.

His running back with the flight of the ball would suggest he has athleticism. He just just raw and will take a couple seasons to bulk up.
Tjat
Play Reilly OBrien at centre half back has to offer more than both Hartigan and McAsey currently and give Strachan a go as our tap ruck....nothing to lose at this point.
Try Himmelberg at CHB

Disagree on the total s***. Granted I've only seen a couple of your games, but there were positives here and you had a chance in spite of umps and some self-inflicted stuff. A few goals instead of behinds and who knows?
Saints only played well in patches. In third gear. Play that on a dry ground and it's 60 plus. Our club has a lot of problems. Club needs to bring in an expert at list management. Some very important decisions need to be made end of the year and I have no confidence in the people in charge to make the right decisions.

He's a ******* defender not a forward, Worrell is the Forward.
I think the fact that Hartigan went forward was actually because they wanted McAsey to go back. Well keep him there next week.

I picked us to finish 18th but was expecting a few wins (3 to 6 wins in a 22 game season). Just need to accept the fact we possibly won't win a game this season.

I think when we play North, it will be our Grand Final. Good chance for us to beat them.

Easily our best performance of the season, just missed golden opportunities on the half time siren and during the 3rd quarter. Finally saw some quick ball movement down the centre which was beautiful to watch. The performances are getting better by the week and unfortunately the Saints were ultra efficient in their forward 50 tonight which didn’t help either when we were so wasteful.

Laird played his best game of the season, far more attacking tonight and tackled well. Went away from the dinky backwards handballs and took the game on more.

Keays solid again.

Tex played his best game of the season and was in our best 5.

Stengle had some really nice moments, especially when he came back through the centre from a tricky contested situation.

ROB was a monster all night. Doedee was his usual self. Mackay looked to move the ball quick.

Matt was insipid again, Hartigan kept spoiling to the back.

Chayce had some nice moments but just can’t enough of the ball right now. Hamill didn’t have his best night so far but he will learn. McAsey running back with the flight of the ball, wow.

I have problems with McAsey lack of pace and athleticism. Not righting him off but wanted Lachlan Ash or a mid.

He is our only gun.

Reads the ball so well & took so many marks.

Drop Hartigan & play Frampton &/or Worrell.

FMD, This says it all tonight.
Player - Metres gained - Disposal Efficiency

Doedee - 312 - 92.7%
MacKay - 298 - 50%
Smith - 282 - 40%
Talia - 262 - 100%

Those are our top 4 in Metres gained and the two best of those 4 are backman! (one is a FB that you hate to see kicking it!)
