Game Day NAB R1 v Geelong @SS, Wed Feb 12 7.10pm

Like every time this year winning and losing means nothing. It's basically a level up from an intra club game and I didn't see anyone getting excited about the result of that match.
Just want to see some new players and maybe a few older guys in nice touch.
But if we win we're premiership favourites.
And if we lose it's only a preseason game.

Players who have played a game who aren't named:
Blair
N.Brown
Dwyer
Fasolo
Goldsack

Reid
Seedsman
Sinclair
Swan
Thomas
Toovey

vs

Christensen

Geelong pretty comfortably, I reckon.

I'm pumped either way because it's footy and it's been a long boring off season.

FWIW usually at least 1 of the NAB GF teams makes top 4 off history, so you can't dismiss it entirely and on the flip side I wouldn't go wrist slashing should we lose either.

Haven't been this pumped for a preseason game in some time. Most excited to see the youngsters (Broomhead, Freeman, Ramsay, etc), but in particular Jonathan Marsh. That was an excellent pick (#77) by Hine and the recruiters. Exactly what you want to see from a late-round pick where he could turn out to be something special. I don't agree when people say he could be a "bust" because that label should not be attached to such late picks where normally you don't expect to find too much. I would much prefer we use late picks on potential like that instead of going for just a boring "solid" player who is ok in the VFL and can fill-in if required. We have more than enough depth.

Good to see Mixture of Kids and Experienced players.

Intresting that all of Lynch,White,Hudson and Grundy in the same side. Guess they be subs and change during the game

Fair Enough, With a late Pick guess Bust is not the Right Word. Not Working Out is the better saying

yeah, this:
Players who have played a senior game but aren't playing round 1 of the nab challenge I think

just a gauge I like to use for pre-season games to really look at the strength of the side - indicates their side is a lot stronger than ours

Thought it would be interesting to compare the games of each side for this upcoming game
