Been so impressed with this kid hasnt done a thing wrong and i havnt seen a Defender his age do so well for a while should already have a Rising Star (Bullshit Award)

I think people under esitmate how hard it is being a key back

10 Year player with out a doubt and will be a star for many years

I'm very happy with Browny. His type of player is exactly what we needed with our ageing backline and I don't think there has been such a promising young player of that type for ages.

I love him but if Geelong offered any of the latter 3 you mentioned I'd jump at the chance. All 3 will be Brownlow winning mids.

Nathan Brown is a genuine star defender...not many in the AFL for memory...i.e. Scarlett and Glass for memory are the only star full-backs at junior ranks...Nath Brown is another, and it does show in his debut season....I would consider him close to untouchable.

yeah, he'd be the best rising star this year.

if theres any justice he should win the whole thing. playing on the best big forwards, and actually doing well in his 1st season is amazing.

has a big impact on games.

I appreciate Nathan Brown but lets not get completely psycho.

He's quick but there are times where he's obviously been caught out and times where he's been completely blown away on the chase.

He's had a good start far better than one would expect but to say he's 8-0 is a bit....frankly its wrong.

Scarlett rarely kicks goals. 16 in a 10 year career.

I think he will be a All Australian standard key defender at his peak. Who can play forward if we need him to.

Im looking forward to Presti getting on the park and showing him how to close down players on the lead, as this seems to be his biggest weakness at the moment. His one on one contesting is excellent.

Scarlett did nothing in junior ranks.

Glass and Presti are the only genuine key defenders I can think of that were drafted in the Top 10. Ryder well on the way.

Yup even played a couple games foward for us when big sav was dropped hehehe, i was a kid who idolised big sav and was dirty that presti was "stealing" his spot in the side hehe.

Dont take this the wrong way but I have been following Nathan quite closely (given Mitch is out for the year) and from what I have seen, Nathan's form has dropped off quite abit since the opening rounds of the year. You think that is fair?

It's probably a bit unfair, he is probably doing the same job as he was in the first few rounds but against lesser profile opponents. He has had many underrated games. His game against Essendon was very good despite giving up a few goals, he beat Aaron Edwards easily against Kangaroos, he beat Gehrig when he was on him. Other games we've lost for example against Carlton and Hawthorn he was poorer because the delivery to his opponent was excellent. Although I don't really think his opponent thrashed him in the Carlton game.

It's very hard to impress as a low possession full back unless you watch him closely live at the game or shut down high profile players.

When i was at the North game i was very impressed with his off the ball work. His shepparding was excellent and he gave some nice hip and shoulders to some big blokes.
