I drove past on South Road in the first time in a while, and there's temporary fencing up and what looks like construction activity. Is this us, or something else?
That was to take-down the shade-structure for the Lawn Bowls club which is relocating across the road along the River Torrens.
The MA Hawks also played their final soccer game at Kings Reserve over the weekend.
Dare say early-works for Thebby will start after the amateur leauge finals are complete.

Interesting today I received an email from Charles Sturt Council in relation to a Freedom of Information request with regard to getting my permission to use my email correspondence with one of the councillors (and it was a councillor who abstained from voting).

So someone is still trying to stop the SANFL developing West Lakes it would appear.

I think they're a bit late for that TBH.

Mali and Kouts are done with the BS on this and won't let it be held up any further.

Building approval hasn't yet been granted for Thebby but I'm told it's very close.

September has passed. October here. What work has commenced on the site as hoped for by John Olsen
Building consent not granted, a project of this size is fairly complicated and the number of small changes we've had to make..... it's painful

Speaking with someone in the know on Sunday out at Brighton Homes Arena, they were telling me that our building is at least twice the size of the Brisbane one, wrapping almost half way around the oval. So from the end of the building behind the right goal post around to the “Footy Made by Fans” sign.

Looks a decent crowd, like that all the way around?

It was chockers. They were all there to see the men’s team who were arriving after the game. They couldn’t get in without buying a tickets to the women’s game.

I have no doubt we'll get an update on Thebarton with the upcoming Tim Silvers interview on 5AA this week or during the upcoming club champion night.

I suspect the updates will come Sunday.

The club champion awards are Saturday night and I'm sure there'll be an announcement then - which will then roll out across the media on Sunday (and the repeated 3 times a week on Glam Adelaide as 'Breaking News' :D)

It made sense. They only have limited capacity and their fellas had just won a GF. So in order to police the size of the crowd, they were able to tack it onto the girls match.
Not to mention the AFLW fixture was out months before anyone knew Brisbane would be in a GF, let alone win it!
