Kadog is suspended I think, fell on his sword in the Tiges thread last night.:D

Raveneyes is busy with his missus. ;)

toxic is most probs still recovering from a randy marsh:p
Oh all good , Tox would have kicked me out by now anyway.
I was suprised how easy you lot were on me with my opening troll, must be happy days in pie land. ( Till next week, when Collingwood plays like my last round of golf, unexpectedly terrible ):D

If I knew Moore would last the game, I’d bring him in at the expense probably Aish?

Otherwise we just need to play it smart and let Goldsack and Howe do whatever they can and just keep the West Coast goal kicker tally to two.

Much like the Richmond game, I’m confident because our two losses to West Coast required abnormal occurrences for them to beat us that won’t happen again.

Moore has to play now, in for Aish.
I don't think we will risk Moore. Although the media has talked him up, Reid appears to be favoured by the club. Last week at training, Reid left the track with the main group. Moore stayed training with Madgen, Brown, Oxley, Crocker and a few others.
I think we need another tall down back, but who makes way? Not sure. Aish has been a solid role-player the last few weeks. He doesn't get dropped. WHE has had four quiet weeks, but is he due? Thomas has also been quiet for a few weeks. Stevo's goals have dried up under finals' pressure, but he does a lot right and was born to play in finals.
Injury could be the only way Reid gets in. It will take a brave call though.

Wow this is a real hard one. You’d think we need Reid as the extra tall defender but this 22 has done well. It’s tough their forwards have the ability to really take over plus Sack is not really a KPB, Kennedy could throw him around like a rag doll.

I’m really worried about WCE’s bookends they are elite.

Yep.
Got to win the clearances and not let that drop off like we did last qtr last time. Thats where they won it. Fwds got on top after that

Biggest worry for me is match ups in the backline. We’re definitely one KPD short against the Eagles and it’s a massive worry.

- Goldsack will go to Kennedy
- Howe to Darling, id assume
- Langdon to Vardy/Lycett

The thing that I think that hurts us just as much as their height is that we lose our two best intercept marking players in Langdon & Howe in roles they won’t be comfortable in (don’t get me wrong they can both manage the job, just not the perfect role for either).

I don’t think we can rely on Moore or Reid to come in for a GF with their recent history. Even if Moore was pushing real hard for selection, I’m not sure bringing him in for his first final in a GF would be a wise idea.

Our midfielders need to ensure that they don’t get too many clean possessions forward of centre, otherwise we could very easily be toast. Grundy is going to be absolute key to this game imo, we need the same impact as the Richmond game from him. He broke even with Lycett last time but this time we can’t afford that, Grundy along with Cox are our most important players in this game imo.

We have been unchanged for 3 weeks or something which for us is incredible. This stability is enabling our recent form so let’s not **** with it and just go in unchanged. Make WC worry about being too tall for us

Well played last night Collingwood, hope we make the gf with ya.
I’m confused about 1 thing, in most national sports the highest finishing team gets to host the final...didn’t we finish higher on the ladder than you? Doesn’t seem real fair or am I missing something?

A leg to stand on.

In: Lionel Richie. Based on previous grand final appearances, seems an absolute moral walk up starter

Out: black eyed peas. Don't think they even have fergie anymore. This surely upsets the structure. Plus they're just shit.

More serious: I'd consider Moore for aish. Aish would be very unlucky. Kennedy is a superstar and without Dunn and Shaz, our defence has held up unbelievably well. But the extra tall may be worth the risk. I don't envy match committee making the calls tho.

Moore in based on what?

It is a name without context.

Has not done anything worth a brownlow point this season and has an injury record as long as you arm.

Why are people even considering his inclusion?
It would be an insult to our current side.

The one which just beat the reigning premiers and form side of the entire year.

What did you think of their 2015 Grand Final performance? Encore, encore.

if anything that experience means they wont be overawed and will turn up to play
we can win for sure, but we will need the game to be on our terms for most of the day

I’d tag Jack Redden. He’s in some serious form. He’s the player of the finals if you exclude Rusty.
He tackles and is a contested animal.

Yeo & Shuey can be negated in the midfield by our midfield dominance.

We just have to pressure and beat them in the midfield. We can’t allow the ball to freely travel through the midfield.
Once WCE have control of the ball at halfway, we get Grundy to drop back. WCE like to kick the ball high into their forward line.

It’s gonna be a tough bloody game.

Gaff?!

Say what? I think you should back him for the Norm Smith.

The game is going to be won there, unlike the last game, our best midfielder and Captain wont be ricovering from a viral infection and will be able to play out the game, huge difference if we looking at pieces in the puzzle.
