No guernsey design changes next year.

Not sure what to make of this Twitter exchange between Bucking Beads and New Era Australia.



Are they saying they will go with that design on the new Lions New Era caps? I thought they'd be obliged to use the official Lions logo?

I don't want anyone to get too excited. But I was at the physio today at the Gabba, and glanced into the lions shop and saw on the wall 3 guernsey's... Paddlepop, Premiership & the Fitzroy variation worn against the dogs last year...

I didn't go in and have a close look though, I meant to on the way out but got distracted by the phone.... Any in the area tomorrow able to go in and confirm?

In your short glimpse, did you happen to notice whether the 3 jumpers had the new Vero sponsorship logos or were they the 2012 jumpers?

No didn't see sponsors sorry it was a glimpse at 20 paces... however there were no premiership style guernsey's available in 2012... I might make time to check it myself heh

I know last time I was in the Lions shop they don't have the best turnover of stock, most probably find its left over 2009 stock.

Nah don't think so. Haven't seen a classic Brisbane Lions jumper for sale in there since they cleared them out in advance of the paddlepop.

Agree with this, i got my mine in 08 i think, and i've barely seen any for sale since then. Perhaps the survey that was done had a different effect than we thought, and instead of prompting a jumper change, it prompted bring it back for sale. If that many people liked it, and we haven't had it on sale for awhile, the club might figure there are some sales to be had, especially when you put it together with the 3-peat anniversary.

I was in the shop last week..... not one guernsey hanging for sale at all.

The guernsey's Karix speaks of are behind the registers and there is a 2012 Heritage, a Bears heritage and the 2001-2-3 Premiership commemorative guernsey. They did have some other 1/2 price 2012 jumpers hanging up for sale.

However, while I was there a truck dropped of a few boxes of the 2013 guernseys that the staff were checking the quantities of. I was able to look at one, they just have Vero on the front and a blank back. No other changes.

I am guessing they won't make too many of these as they wait for the second sponsor to be announced,which they staff member told me would be in January.

The Bears heritage is $295 and they have them in Large. Because they class them as Memorabilia they are more expensive. Not sure how much the other two are though but I would love the Bears one. They also had a 163 of 180 on them so I think they are quite rare. The 2012 Heritage guernsey is signed by the players as well.
