Butters would barely get them a first.. another massively overrated Powa player..
does some great things.. but goes missing for large chunks of the game.
and for them to get any value at all he’d need to want to go to a team like the Hawks who will have a high first rounder.
as we’ve seen.. these ex vicco players tend to go back to the top 8 Victorian clubs.. they want to go to contenders.. and their club has to just accept the late firsts for them because there is literally nothing else to give.. see Taranto and hopper and the tigers and gws..
Butters would probably choose to go to The Pies!…play for the real black and white stripes!.. pies will finish close to the top.

The saints don’t have any real big dollar players so they’d probably have some cap space..
they’ll be top 8 and playing finals this year though.. which means a shit draft pick to give port if butters asked to be traded to them..
Gotta also remember this is dumbfxxk Powa supporters just talking shit.. butters is contracted to the end of 2024 and probably doesn’t want to go anywhere!..
they are just desperate to get some draft capital for this year because they are quickly realising their list isn’t as great as they thought and may be looking down the barrel of a rebuild of sorts.. talking about it probably makes them feel a bit better!

I dont get why they love their list.
Arguably the worst defence in the league (along with ours). An inconsistent, injury prone forward line with no star quality. (Potential for 1, but isn't he West Coast bound) and a few good young midfielders who can be great together.
I'll admit. I'd take their midfield over ours, but the rest of their team is trash. They need to build up that spine, and then by the time we're reaching 2027-2030 they might have a window open they could nab one. But if they can't build that spine. Their midfield which would be good enough to get maybe a top 4 spot once they mature, will never be good enough to beat 3 other strong teams and win a premiership.
I would give them pick 17 and 18 for Butters before his serious ankle injury.......

You COULD look at Lycett/Allir/Wines as a stop-gap option for the short term.
Im not sure Rozee is captain material tbh, but might be the only logical choice as the cupboard is quite bare.
