I hope the travelling Freo group watched this game as a group back in the hotel. Would have bought back some great memories of positive ball movement & dare which is what set us apart early
One of the commentators said Collingwood were becoming the story of the year so far, it should be us & there is still time for to be. Please get back to what got us results early in the year.

Yeah they were taking the first option as soon as it appeared. Looks like they had a lot of confidence to do it.

Our skills are absolutely good enough we're just hesitating too much and the option gets shut down.

Just can't get over how ******* lucky that team is. They're a kick a game away from being a bottom 10 side. Barely scraping wins against bottom 4 teams and yet they're sitting pretty in second on the latter. ******* infuriating.

I want to see how we play tomorrow first. If we dish up the same shit than I think the melts are justified.

It really is all up to us. Win all three games and we're a chance for fourth. Lose any of them and we're gone.

Sydney have collingwood, north, and stk.
Brisbane have carlton, stk, and melb.

If they both drop one of those games and we win all 3 we finish 4th i think.

I’ve heard so much stuff in Melbourne about their rebuild, and how good they’ll be in a few years - really? In a few years when Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Howe, Elliot, De Goey, Adams, Crisp are gone? I e missed a bunch too probably . They have a handful of good young players but no more than anyone else and are not actually rebuilding, they are in their prime right now. The media have NFI sometimes.

Sort of. They get plenty of limegreen leniency. Melbourne made repeated bad decisions. But they ride their luck with a system to match it.

High quality game, intense pressure, fast ball movement, disciplined, good goal kicking.

The opposite of what we look like lately.

A few sides took some pages out of our book earlier on in the season when we were peak us, including Collingwood. I definitely think it's our turn to take at least one out of Collingwood's, the fast pace transition. Who dares wins.

Pies kicked 10.1 from set shots, Melbourne couldn't hit the side of a barn door.

It needs to start with our kick-ins, I’m frustrated with us waiting on Ryan to get back to kick out only to bomb it down the line. We trust all players to be able to dispose the ball in general play (except for Pearce) why can’t the nearest player get a ball & look for an option, treat it like general play & get it moving.

Mids, half backs, wingers, whoever, get the ball & be ready to hit a target long or short, we need an attacking mindset & this can be a massive change in that & makes us less predictable.

Like the Dogs in 16, Collingwood will play a number of finals in Melbourne with a majority crowd despite being the away team. They could win it. I still thinks it’s more likely they get destroyed in a cutthroat final by 10+ goals.
