Lol. I just can’t see how anyone can this we are anywhere near that level

It does get talked up alot in the meedja. Each game is a sealed environment of its own. Cottonwool barely got over the line against North as an example.

Anyone who gets a chance to get their tails up can ride that momentum. Let's hope we do that over the next few weeks.

Nah, Melbourne slaughtered the Pies on inside fifties and themselves on conversion.

Pies kicked 10.1 from set shots, Melbourne couldn't hit the side of a barn door.
Yet again the most important stat in footy (goal kicking accuracy) costs a wasteful team another win.
Unfortunately we have an even more blunt attack than Melbourne. ☹️
There is no comparison between the ability of the Collingwood forwards to kick clutch goals under pressure, compared to ours.

Yeah, but they were having shots from extremely gettable positions. We don't.

Forward efficiency is the most important stat, but yeah, accuracy counts towards it.

Set shot kicking is just luck.

we s**t our pants soon as the bright lights go on and a bit of pressure gets applied but the Pies are pretenders ?

L O ******* L
Oi what? Just because we are a pretender doesn't mean other teams also can't be pretenders.

I think you could make a legitimate case for every team being a pretender.

Melbourne had 208 handballs, Collingwood had 99.
Last week we had 179-145. Collingwood ability to pressure the ball carrier was even better than what Melbourne did to us. There’s no secret formula with Collingwood, they are an effort team who make you turn the ball over eventually & get you going the other way.
They simply work harder than the opposition & that was evident the day we played them. For opposition teams it is difficult to flick a switch & play the same way & most are trusting their style. It’s not too different to what Ross demanded, with the only difference being what they do going the other way.
Be interesting if they can keep it up.

Yeah I accept that but I don’t trust tabs or Lobb from 15m out directly in front to be honest. Especially Lobb.
Logue is one of my fav freo players but he would probably faint with terror and have to be resuscitated with oxygen if he ever took a mark and had an after the siren shot to win a game.
Even Schultz and Frederick missed last week at a key juncture from the same position ash Johnson kicked the last goal tonight.

They beat Melbourne. Actually Collingwood own Melbourne. Haven’t loss to them in 8-9 years?
By the same margin they beat North by. Barely scraping over the line against adelaide and essendon. Got lucky with melbourne's absolute dog shit kicking today. A convincing win against a top eight side and I'll believe they're legit. They haven't had that since round 10.
