I think it's disappointing that he has rejected it, but I'm not surprised. He completely left the game behind when he retired.

I don't believe him accepting it would've made him an attention seeking flog, or that the vast majority would think that either. I think it could've actually helped to warm that public relationship back up for him, but that's clearly not what he wants and that's his choice.

Accepting the award would be a measure of forgiveness to the league.

That's because they are constantly losing talent every year and very rarely get players go to them unless they are spuds ( occasionally someone decent).

They have lost more top 20 talent in the last 5 years then we have had in probably 15 years

Hard to believe has now been 10 years. Tasmania denied a team and general talent of the comp diluted to hell and for what? At least GWS have made and won finals. GC has been and still is an absolute disaster.
