Pinning the arms in a tackle was once the perfect technique, but now it seems to be a huge no-no.

It's really easy to roll the player in that situation.
He didn't and instead dropped into his back.
It's more in the back than dangerous tackle, but he did pin the arms and drive his head into the ground.

Yes, because pinning both arms can leave the head exposed to some pretty gnarly forces with no way for the guy being tackled to protect himself
