Second goal was a ripper.Hopper stepping up with 2 goals to get GWS back in front
The only worry being they actually are a GWS level team, meaning we could go into a prelim against Melbourne/Sydney with no serious hit out arguably since Bulldogs or Port (ages ago).Second goal was a ripper.
I really want Freo to win. They are awful and I want to play them week 1
Freo, Collingwood and Brisbane in a dog fight to see who will be one of the weakest top 4 sides in memory.
What other contenders do we have from previous seasons?
Prefer Collingwood first up?The only worry being they actually are a GWS level team, meaning we could go into a prelim against Melbourne/Sydney with no serious hit out arguably since Bulldogs or Port (ages ago).
Good shout.North Melbourne at one stage under Scott
I'd probably prefer Freo despite what I just said, simply because it would mean Collingwood could take out Richmond but then be a decent shot of not even making the prelim (e.g if they faced Sydney in a semi). Thus it strengthens the "only 3 contenders" reality.Prefer Collingwood first up?
It makes me more nervous but maybe we need that early.

it’s been a while since we’ve had a tough game, I’d almost rather we didn’t draw a soft QF opponent so we don’t go into a prelim without having been tested in months.
Freo don't want top 4?
of course I’ll be happy with a win however we can get it, but I’ll be nervous about the prelim if the last challenging game we played was in july. Are you bloody kidding me?
You just take a win whenever you can get it.
I don’t care if the opponent is missing their top 10 players.
