Trading luke jackson might be great or not. If they can turn him into a couple of good players it will be good for the age profile of the list. No guarantees about draft picks though. If Melbourne fail to go back-to-back, wonder what pressure will be put on some of their list management decisions this year; Brayshaw re-signed for 6 years (2028), Petracca for 6 years (2029) & Oliver for 7 years (2030) - both Petracca & Oliver were signed for next season, so they were signed on long term extension before a contract year
It's good to sure up the midfield, but with other pressing needs have they potentially shot themselves in the foot
Syd would flog them
And yet the pies won. That’s a number of games now that people look at the stats and say- pies should have lost. Yet they won. You can’t win 11 games in a row by the opposition throwing it away. Not really. They were dominated all over the ground last night
409 disposals to 316.
162 contested possessions to 138.
65 inside 50s to 41.
52 clearances to 32.
21 centre clearances to 7.
Melbourne just threw that one away. They should've been up 8 goals at the half.
They remind me of say, 2017 Geelong on steroids. We scraped across the line in about 6 games that year, it could've been 7 had Hawkins kicked the goal against GWS, we finished second and were just way out of our depth come finals.
I know they struggle to make it. I would just hate to face them in a final at the MCGlmao Tigers will struggle to even make the 8.
Dees and Sydney are the biggest threats.
and a mop for that wet ass pussy??Give me a bucket .
Nothing about my support of Geelong is logical. I can not even watch games live, and have paid a fortune for memberships!! Apart from a GF- that I would watch live. That's good that you concede it is an emotional response rather than logical deduction at least. Nothing wrong with that, it's one of the idiosyncrasies of being deeply attached to something.
Any MCG host team with a big fan base is dangerous to Geelong when they catch form. Simply because we might have to face them at their home ground even if we are the "home" team.
It's simply something Geelong premiership teams have to face. 07, 09, 11 there were those tests. I'd rather face interstate teams but it's likely we will have to beat one, if not both, of Melbourne and Collingwood this finals series.
Whenever you start to think they are finally making inroads they put in a performance with zero intensity.GCS are a sad, sad club man
Haven’t seen Vdubs this excited since North was 10-1 in 2016!
McVeigh said last week that he believes a few players may have already checked out - if that's the case (while disappointing), it can be harder to read into the form of the playerHopper and Bruhn having very average games
It's like they are hidingHopper and Bruhn having very average games
He is my fav non cats playerToby Greene is by far the best small forward in the game. Such an excellent player.
