Having some late night thoughts and didn't know where to put this so mods feel free to do with this as you wish 
Maybe it's easy to say it right now as we're dominating but I just love our attitude towards contending.
Our footy club believes each year should be treated as a year that you can win the damn thing, which at the end of the day is the whole point of the sport. They're aware that for the large majority of supporters footy is just a game. It's not life and death and the reality is we're all going to be more interested if the club's going well.
We refuse to rebuild which in a competition that rewards mediocrity is just so refreshing, and to see what this club has been able to become in the 21st century is just remarkable.
I'm not old enough to remember the dark days but I know enough about the history of the GFC to know that it wasn't pretty, and we've gone from a club struggling financially to an Australian sporting powerhouse.
I think as supporters we take for granted how lucky we are. Whether it be a choice of our own or a rite of passage through family, we are truly blessed to support this football club.
