It still is a gamble with Smith. People say any player that you recruit could do an ACL but like Lincoln McCarthy above if you have done it once, you are most susceptible to do it again.
There are a lot of players that do ACLs and return and have long, interrupted careers over multiple spots though. Guys like Linc or Menz might be outliers in the opposite direction and might just be prone to it. Menz especially.

When you have a 19 year old Reid as the only one in the side flying the flag and being the enforcer it shows how bad it is down there
Nearly all their top tier players, except for Brady Hough, are over 25, with the majority surpassing 30. Beyond Harley Reid, the only young talents truly worth persisting with appear to be Elijah Hewett, Noah Long, and Jack Hutchison. Ginbey might be ok he appears better as a defender.

If I were an Eagles fan, I would be desperately hoping for Rhett Bazzo to develop into a reliable key defender. Callum Jamieson and Harry Edwards have been subpar in that role, previously benefiting from the presence of Tom Barrass and Jeremy McGovern. Now, with only one of those stalwarts remaining and not for much longer, their deficiencies will become even more glaring.

It is baffling how West Coast has managed to persist with players like Jack Petruccelle and Tom Cole in their best 22 for years, despite their evident limitations. Yet they delisted someone who actually tried such as Zane Trew.

3 Firsts or a straight swap of Rowell.

Otherwise nope
If SDK plays most of the season how he did Round 1, JUST Rowell alone wouldn't be enough for me. Would need Rowell and a pick in the 20s for SDK and one of our picks in the late 30s.

As others have pointed out, SDK is a young developing tall who SHOULD have been in the AA squad, if not AA early on, and if his brothers progress is any indication he could end up being something special.

Not to say Rowell isn't a gun, but a lot of gun mids in the next 2 years becoming FA/RFA.
If LDU from North decides he wants success and joins us, we likely don't go for Rowell, so what do the Suns have to offer instead?

Of course they don't. However, just as with the Bazlenka situation, they're unlikely to have too much choice in the matter. What clubs will pay is what clubs will pay. And I can't imagine that you're going to get a massive bidding war going if Jamarra's career trajectory continues to track as haphazardly as it is doing now throughout 2025.
