I was at the inglewood hotel last night for the wa Bulldogs and members get together.
Congrats to Darren and the team.

Ro Smith and Jamie were there for about an hour answering 5 or so questions.
1/2 price pints too, only time and place for decent priced drink in perth. Ha ha
Quite a few youngstes, son included are hitting the bowls clubs.

Some past players were there .
Ross Abbey , I think is pres.
Phil Cronan, Jim Sewell , Ali Ford , 2 other chaps
1 probably Jim's age and one could be late 70's.
I did not catch the names and missed the name tags.
Andrew Purser was there and I baled him as he was leaving for a chat.
He also made a jumper presentation to Jimmy after the past players were introduced.

I PM’ed Philthy with the details. Not interested in airing it all. Basically to keep it vague, a lot of background meddling (worse than Bevo at the Dogs) and upsetting a lot of people. Not the type of influence we’d want at the club in my opinion

Same shit I heard + MBoyd and him had a massive falling out due to Bob sticking his nose into departments that did not concern him (What I'd give to have MBoyd back at the Dogs).

Also, really got over his god damn ''heart and soul everything is so emotional'' mantra/mentality, was really wearing thin on me towards the end. No problem having a soft/emotional side but he was really laying it on thick to the point of being insufferable towards the last few years at the club.

Was anyone else disappointed with that weird ass jumper we wore on Friday night? We have one of the best clash guernseys and we’ve let some high school art student stuff it up royally. I’ve always thought we never quite value our guernsey enough at Footscray. Like to hear what others think?

The stripes were too low down. I liked the old one better.

They were obviously deliberately too low for an artistic purpose, but that is the problem we reckon, save the art for merchandise and keep the jumpers traditional.

I've even had neutrals come up to me asking that question.
Clearly a fail ... but they have to have slightly different new jumpers every year for merchandising reasons.
