not that other matters but o would have been pissed if Melbourne beat us regardless what side we had in. good signs looked reasonably sharp. foot skills were great. backline looks solid, add grimes and it could become exceptional. i tipped us to win one and lose one so im expecting a different side to run out against north

would have liked some of our players conserve a bit more energy late in the game. ie Cotch not be so agressive on the wing when the game in hand and game 2 coming up

From all reports it is pretty much set in stone. He has played in the A team/ probables in all practice matches.

Umpiring is very reactional. I am not going to enjoy them this year.

Positives were:

Thought Vlastin looked good when he was involved.

Vickery presented well and is very agile

Jack was up and about

Ellis looked good

Nahas worked hard for not much reward

Better players had dirty nights

Thought Astbury competed well at CHb

Negatives

No point in Vickery being tough when he lay on the ground after the Frawley RIEWOLDT contest for minor contact. Needed to bounce back up because he could of been involved in the play. The other pointless push and shove in a nab cup is stupid.
