According to a poster over at Nick's with a history of getting some inside info Matt Rowell is one player we have significant interest in and he comes out of contract at the end of 2025.

According to the poster we highly rate his professionalism and desire to drive standards and want to make sure we can fill the void left in this area when Pendlebury has retired.
I doubt he leaves GC or his mate Anderson

Now this I could get excited about.
More than Pendlebury he would replace Mitchell as that coal face clearance player.

Well it must work... He hasn't looked back since he left. 40 goals last year. Kicking on again this year. Enjoying his mum's roasts. Yet two years later, despite winning last years GF, we are still sulking over his departure

I think he'll become the best medium forward of modern history, he's still just a baby

Lewis Hayes from Essendon has started really well this year. He’s OOC end of this year.

Jedd Busslinger is not going to get a game at the Dogs. He’s OOC end of the year.

Conor Stone is also OOC. He won’t get a game in GWS’ midfield anytime soon. He was high up on our draft board couple years ago.

Three players we should target imo.

Extremely unlikely, but what do people think it would cost in trade value if JUH was to nominate us?

Clearly our picks are limited, so it would need to involve players. Therefore, which players?

To my mind Macrae, McCreery and our future first would be the minimum.
He's their generational key forward who'll they'll build a team around for the next decade and drafted at one.

Probably a Daicos and two first rounders.

There isn't a single club in the AFL who wouldn't have significant interest in Matt Rowell.

With Nick’s also mentioning Cadman, not sure how the club intends to avoid trading future 1st rounders / keeping picks for Hine before Tassie comes in

Rowell’s nice but it feels like another Treloar deal incoming.
