Analysis Pick Mitch Harvey now, not in 2017!!

Carr's time at Port is as overrated as his time at Freo is underrated.

He cracked a seasonal average of 20+ touches three times in his career and all came after leaving Port (2005, 2006, 2007). Only cracked 30+ disposals four times in his career. All of them at Freo.

You could argue he improved his numbers with the greater responsibility of being in a thinner, lesser team, but as an individual he enjoyed his best years in purple.

I'd give my left nut for a circa 2003/4 Josh Carr in our side right now.

He was no superstar but i'd love a Josh Carr type in our midfield now

Showdowns - 10 zip. Winningest player ever in Showdowns. First goal in gf. Big influence in that game. Port 0-5 when Carr out with a busted jaw.

Might not be a superstar in some people's eyes but he's a superstar in mine.

I'm sur you would. Josh Carr for some reason played his best footy on the SA showdowns and WA derbys. Best game he had was round 4, 2006. Hasleby got the winning goal but Josh Carr got 26 disposals and 3 goals. Judd was BOG with 33 touches. Both Carr boys were hated due to their thug tactics. Still remember the Carr brothers ganging up on Daniel Kerr.

I would have thought Josh Carr's job on Cousins in one particular derby would have been right up there as well.
He was in Cuz's face for the entire game, and literally caused the bloke to mentally disintegrate in front of the tv viewer's eyes.

there was that too. 2nd derby of 2006 stood out For the fact that Matt Carr regularly attacked Kerr

Is he a chance this week or will Butcher keep his spot?
No chance based off this week, Lobbe and Frampton were the talls that impressed in the SANFL. Butch hopefully will stay in the AFL side.

Christ don't mention Frampton you'll have every Freo ******* on here asking about his contract... West Strayan's all wanna go home oooh rah

Who is this Frampton, How tall is he? AFL media have linked us to anything 190cm or older. That includes Jack Watts! lol

I see... So the only way he will get a debut is round 23.
He might play half a game. I don't see you chaps playing kids vs the hawks.
Might be tough for Harvey to get a game with Ryder, Schulz, Westhoff, Butcher, Lobbe all ahead of him and Frampton in better form.

There is no go home factor to WA factor as far as I'm concerned.

If the last 10 years are anything to go by, the WAers get a taste of East Coast life and don't want to give it up.

Expect for Elliot Yeo, who wanted to 'be with his mates'

What a guy

If you like $12 Pints

and $38 steaks.

It actually works quite well.....just hand over a $50 and no hassles of loose change

Harvs has had two very quiet games in a row, so I expect we won't see him in the BIB now until sometime next season, which is probably good, and he can concentrate on being a big target for the Maggies in the sanfl finals.

Recently it seems to be less of a "go home" factor and more of a "leave Brisbane" factor. There's got to be a bit more than homesickness and lack of success when one team has lost most of its first-round draft picks after a few years. It doesn't seem to be that people don't like QLD as the other QLD team, the Suns don't seem to have a huge problem with players leaving. They had to shed a few when the concessions ran out but at the moment the only reason a lot of their stars are invisible is that they're all injured.

One of my favourite Dennis Cometti comments was when Josh (then #9 with Port) clashed with Matthew (#9 with Freo) in a game and Dennis said "”How's that, a two Carr collision, both with the same rego!".
