As stated.... Freo are linked with every tall forward like McCarthy, Hogan and even Black from North. Were actually thinking of trading our 1st or 2nd round pick for Jetta. Also I am not keen on seeing Freo trade future 1st round picks. Also if Shaw wanted out, Port can't do much, be just like Josh Carr in 2008.

He cracked a seasonal average of 20+ touches three times in his career and all came after leaving Port (2005, 2006, 2007). Only cracked 30+ disposals four times in his career. All of them at Freo.

You could argue he improved his numbers with the greater responsibility of being in a thinner, lesser team, but as an individual he enjoyed his best years in purple.

He was critical to us in 2004 - our form suffered massively when he missed those weeks in early in the season.

Shaw is a better talent than Harvey. I reckon he would have got himself a game if it weren't for injuries wrecking the bulk of his year.

Shaw was developing very nicely in the back end of 2014 with some very substantial games as a key forward. Harvey looks to be tracking nicely this year, but I think if Shaw had played the season out he'd be well and truly ahead of him.

It's the shiny new toy mentality. Next year it'll be Austin, Howard or Frampton who'll be the saviour and the others will be pushed aside by the fanatics.

That would mean technically giving away Schulz + pick 25 (at this stage) for pick 18 (at this stage).
Not sure if upgrading 7 spots in the draft is worth Schulz.
That being said I can see the onward gold coast trade for Dixon and port being able to keep pick 7 but I reckon gc won't be so happy with just pick 18.

That'd be about an 8 spot upgrade on our 2nd round draft pick. I don't see that being done. We'd be more likely to accept your first pick from next year when you'll have a greater chance of finishing lower and swapping our 2nd pick next year when we hopefully will finish higher.
