Just not cutting it atm. No place for in the back line with back 6 pretty settled now and a few blokes have stepped up in the VFL over the last few weeks and is now a few places back in the queue for a spot on the bench.

All good from a Tiger point of view.

He guys, Just wodering how Clayton Collard is developing? I was a fan of him last year while he was at Freo.

Has he got any bigger?

July last year skinny as a rake

March preseason - Still has same conditioning and size that he had at Freo as expected. Getting tough love from all coaches.

Late April - Put a bit of weight on, was struggling with defense pressure but still very handy on the offensive end for the Coburg reserves.

Late June - Is. . . is that Clay? Finally starting to look like a footballer and got a senior VFL appearance about now and booted 3. A game against an un-aligned side forced him back to the Coburg reserves again but he made a mark on people who sure his appearance that day.

Today - Has kicked 9 (?) goals in 2 weeks playing Coburg seniors, still a question on his defensive pressure but I'd say he is coming along very nicely.

Will probably be retained as a rookie but I'm sure there will be discussions about an elevation to the senior list next year given his evolution since March. I'd say they'll stay with the tough love situation though and keep him as a rookie for one more year to see how he goes with retaining the drive over the pre-season and into another season. No rush for such a young kid. An exciting talent.

Thanks PR, been wondering about this kid myself. You can see his body start to mature, hopefully the rest of him follows suite and we pick up yet another good player from our rookie list. I don't know who is responsible for our rookie listing, but they have done a pretty good job over the last 3-4 years IMO.

I think Raines has more to offer than connors.
hes stronger and more consistent.
give Raines a full pre-season and he'll prove himself, no doubt about it

Johnson had a very strong year I thought, racked up possessions and most of them weren't cheapies.

What does everyone reckon will happen with the likes of King and Pettifer?

I think Pettifer is gone, reckon King may be shopped around but no offers. I think King has got some improvement left in him, so I am not sure I agree on shopping him around

I think Daniel Connors should be getting a game week in week out.

His an excitement machine, has pace, flare and can turn a game on its head.

Love watching him play at coburg but should be given a chance at least over tambling.

I dont think connors offers any moer than mitch morton and the like in the team. he dominates at coburg but.. thats vfl. the step up is huge for young guys
