USA Policy positions of Donald Trump; let's see how many he achieves

Not if they were already short staffed as they would not have been able to hire any new traffic controllers.

That's a big assumption, that then leads to a lot more assumptions.

Until the NTSB investigation is complete, we can’t assume it was an ATC mistake. It could be a combination of pilot error, automation failure, or ATC oversight.

It could be, however, putting a freeze on hiring new aircraft controllers when there is already a big shortage all over the US, plus giving control of aircraft safety oversight to the individual airline companies does not bode well for flights in the US and this crash should be a reminder and a warning.

From the ABC website:
"A few minutes before landing, air traffic controllers asked the arriving commercial jet if it could land on the shorter Runway 33 at the airport, and the pilots said they were able.
Controllers then cleared the plane to land.
Flight tracking sites showed the plane adjust its approach to the new runway.
Less than 30 seconds before the crash, an air traffic controller asks the helicopter if it has the arriving plane in sight.
The controller makes another radio call to the helicopter moments later: "PAT 25 pass behind the CRJ." Seconds after that the two aircraft collide."

Initially it seems the helicopter either had a radio issue or the pilot did not respond to ATC.

I'm not seeing how's there's a direct link between the government hiring freeze and a mid-air collision a week later. Shouldn't we be looking at this logically and in sequence?

Even if Trump’s administration hadn’t issued any recent aviation-related orders, the fundamental operations of air traffic control should have remained the same in the short term.

Who needs resources? We’ve got prayers

Considering his approval rating is going up the American people agree, kudos to you that you acknowledged you’re a dickhead.

Ahem. Care to rethink your personal attack? Or is it fake news?

The right loves him because he keeps in shape but the guy looks horrible apart from having a good rig.

Doesn’t look like a good rig to me. He just wears shirts that are too small for him and rolls the sleeves up.

He’s terribly dressed for a bloke on the national stage.

I guess he’s in better shape than Trump, who eats Maccas twice a day.

Not sure how old the photo is but he looks pretty good aesthetically for someone his age.

I don’t think that this means he should be the head of health or whatever he is because of it.

If we replace Kamala into that tweet, it would be hit with an avalanche of absolute abuse. With Donald, JD and other Repubs would be blasting her for not being at the site immediately.

The Right know nothing but hypocrisy.
Trump needs to watch Fox at night to get his talking points from Clammity to tweet

Big press conference in the morning Trump will have pictures and charts explaining the accident.
Offer some thoughts and prayers to those effected etc etc.
Then DonOld will take questions from Fox etc
Will he get his sharpie out to draw all over the diagram and keep it post 2028 with all the other stuff he will declassify and sell to the highest bidder or those who have the piss photos
