It’s an absolute train wreck
Had a quick look, seems to be just 2-3 blokes jacking each other off. The rest of the board seem to have abandoned it. But yeh, mind numbing shit in there.

A whopping 13,000 federal employees reportedly received an abusive email on Thursday after a new broadcast system was quickly exploited.

In an email with the subject header, “Resign,” all 13,000 federal employees of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reportedly received the abusive message, which read, “Aren’t you tired of working for a complete c….”

Another Trump success

I heard on MNCBS (which I acknowledge has a certain slant) that the email address set up so that federal employees could dob in colleagues doing sneaky DEI hiring has been shut down because it was quickly filled with various forms of junk (joke emails, spam, even pr0n).

I haven’t tried to find another source to confirm so I’m reliant on Rachel Madden to have done her own validation.

It was a big thing on Reddit. People were even sharing places where the spam would could from .gov email addresses so that they couldn’t easily just filter out emails.

What a mess.

But on another point ( not related to this article) where are they going to get enough air craft controllers if they start sacking what they call DEI hires. It is not something that can be learned overnight? It is extremely specialised and stressful and requires a lot of training and supervision.

Loved this opening line from David Brooks op piece in the NY Times:

This was the week in which the Chinese made incredible gains in artificial intelligence and the Americans made incredible gains in human stupidity.

Nvidia dropped almost $600b on Monday. Someone hit the panic button.

Yes- that's the reference the sentence was making.

The panic button was hit because US investors, and Trump himself, put too much emphasis on the hardware of AI technology (as opposed to software) thinking that banning sales of chips to China gave them a monopoly on the development of AI technology.

DeepSeek proved that thinking wrong which devalued the value of US AI infrastructure technology overnight.

But that's a subject for another thread.

It's doubly funny because they used Nvidia chips in development. DeepSeek appear or have made a lot of progress in a short period of time.

Trump's ready to give the US tech sector another kick in the goolies by whacking tariffs on chip imports from Taiwan.

Who are the astronauts that Musk is supposed to rescue with his rockets that can't keep from exploding?
I assume like what happened in Thailand someone from NASA will tell Elon his plan is daft and won't work, and he will respond by calling them a pedo.

Ex faux boy Pete being on the show he used to host being offered full toss questions by his ex work mates

Also more finding for his future library?
CBS parent company Paramount has entered discussions with President Donald Trump to settle a $10 billion lawsuit brought by the president in a legal maneuver that many legal experts have ridiculed as meritless, according to a New York Times report published Thursday night.
