He competed where Jackson didn't. If we had of selected him earlier instead of continually going to Jackson when Darcy was out, we would have done a lot better and probably not have lost some of the games we did. He isn't a long term solution but he did his job.

As Brodie hasn't played since 2022, I don't know if that is a problem because he was pretty good back then. Two more years of Jaeger isn't going to work. We need more speed on the wings. And he doesn't seem to be able to play a full season or even 4 quarters in a game.

How fumbly were we in that 2nd half? So many opportunities wasted because our players couldn’t get clean hands. Both aerially and at ground level. And it wasn’t one or two that I could call out, it felt like every Freo player.

Also players not keeping their feet at crucial times when they should pick up the ball or apply pressure. It can't just be footwear, and it seemed like any ball that bounced towards a one vs one contest was better read by the Port players.

Maybe not strong enough in the bodies. Not strong enough at this point of the season i.e. not strong enough to sustain it over a season.

It looks like poor skills under pressure.

Port are as good a shot as anyone this year , way more powerful at the coalface than us and really get up in your face and cut down your space so fast , doesn’t really matter that much if your fwds are crap if you force mistakes from the oppo

Probably about right 10th spot on form

Feels like we have all the making of a decent home and away team that will shit the bed in finals for the next 3-4 years

JOM at 32 and still playing just sounds ridiculous after what we have seen this year. Fyfe at 32 has had some good moments but he is a star coming to an end

Our defensive structure at kick ins is horrible. Never hold the ball inside 50, our kick ins are always long to Jackson or Darcy who don’t mark the ball.. just same crap week to week.
If we miss finals next year he’s gone.

We need players with finishing class so bad. Johnson Sharp etc are woeful kicks
