Does anyone know if we'll be able to get our season ticket seats for the finals or will they be allocated at random when we purchase them.

was going to start a separate thread but thought I'd ask in here.
they will go on sale on a first in best dressed basis and will depend on when the ticketing outlet release seats.

All you can do is ask.

I was planning to get them online. I'll be pretty annoyed if I can't get my season ticket seat. I might ask them later in the week when I do my food shopping.

Nothing really to come out of the MRP this week

Other Incidents Assessed:
Contact between Carlton’s Marc Murphy and Port Adelaide’s Travis Boak from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. After viewing all available footage and receiving a medical report from the Port Adelaide Football Club, it was the view of the panel the force used was below that required for a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
Contact between Carlton’s Bryce Gibbs and Port Adelaide’s Robbie Gray from the second quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. After viewing all available footage and receiving a medical report from the Port Adelaide Football Club, it was the view of the panel the force used was below that required for a reportable offence. No further action was taken.

Good to see that we don't cry to the MRP like other clubs I won't mention.

I'm looking at you, Hawthorn.

Can't believe the Selwood incident didn't amount to anything. It didn't look a whole lot different to the Lake incident or the Harvey incident. Then again, we are talking about Joel Selwood - Mr. Untouchable, so I guess we shouldn't be all that surprised!!!!!

Franklin crying about getting booed, claiming racial abuse. He never got booed when he was at Hawthorn, but suddenly everyone has decided to be racist when he dons a Swans jumper? No Buddy, you're getting booed because you're a ****ing campaigner who went to make a top four team even stronger. And you know it.

I'm pretty sure that I heard Sanderson say last week that the Crows hadn't lost two in a row since round 3.
Sendo'd again!

A Bulldogs supporter was ejected yesterday for racially abusing him. He didn't make the complaint, the person was dobbed in by fellow Dogs fans. Obviously Buddy was asked about his views on the matter of racial vilification in the game on the back of this and he gave his opinion.

I saw that on the main board. My comment was based on catching Stupid asking why people boo Goodes and Franklin at games, which is why I thought he was speaking out. My bad.

I just don't think Franklin is that much of a whinger. In fact, I think he thrives on the boos.

I don't have any real problem with Buddy personally. He took the money like most would. Sydney can EAD though.

Franklin crying about getting booed, claiming racial abuse ....
And this happened where?

... No Buddy, you're getting booed because you're a ******* campaigner ....
No, he was booed after a bump on Jack Macrae. Which incidentally the MRP let go as they always do with Buddy.

Lloyd on FC: "I don't think there are 2 key defenders in the league that could go with Tippett & Buddy" Bob & Hombsch kept them to 2 goals each which could be classed as a win, if we manage to claim 4th spot I think we can be more than competitive playing them at ANZ especially if Kennedy isn't 100% in time.

And one of buddy's was that inconspicuous push in the back....

They were talking yesterday on 3AW as if it's a done deal - there can be no other possibilities, other than a Sydney v Hawthorn grand final. The rest are more or less kidding themselves: they're just making up the numbers. I hope our boys were listening yesterday - it would have given them all the motivation they need to stick it up those media clowns across the border!!!!!!!!!! Of course, if Port does the unthinkable, it'll all be down to luck :)

The allocation is effectively random. Your membership category has historically given a little choice (higher the category, the earlier you can buy). But the season ticket aspect of your membership ends with the H&A seaon. The AFL 'own' the various stadia for finals and they inherit a 'clean' Adelaide Oval. All seats unowned, all advertising is theirs etc.

I'm fairly confident that, you can choose the section you want to be in, as in a bay. Then ask for an allocated seat at random, cancel and repeat. I think I did that with a final at AAMi, but it was a long time ago :(. But then again if you buy online, you should be able to select right.

If nothing is different from a decade ago at AAMI (and why should it be?) I've no problem with what you say. But people new at this will need reminding that getting a series of seats exactly as you had in the H&A is a function of priority of access/getting in early (no-one else getting them first), and obsessiveness.

If the online purchasing is anything like any seated/standing event I've ever bought tickets online for... It's automatically allocated seating. The web page just plonks you in a seat based on the price of the ticket you want to buy.

I've found that the face to face ticketing (lining up and actually speaking to someone) gives you more of a choice as the attendant has greater access to the seating. I did it for the Collingwood Final at the MCG last year, was able to get better seats than what the web page was offering
