Are we now outlawing being attracted to women and talking about which women you fancy and which women you don't fancy?

Yes it's silly to upload it as a public figure but let's not put that in the same category as De Goey.
The only crime here is not having a functioning brain cell between them when they put it up on social media, particularly at a time when the spotlight is on the club already.

You'd have to be breathtakingly dumb

What they were doing is essentially a comedy skit though. They weren't even talking about real people. This is pearl clutching at it's finest.

I find all these things true :

De Goey is an idiot and and I do not want him at Port.
He did nothing 'wrong' in Bali from a legal/ethical standpoint.
What he did is a terrible look - for him personally and for Collingwood.
The media are grubs.

Three match suspension while the AFL "investigate" or is that only for young, indigenous players from non-Big Vic clubs?

I take you missed that I said "Investigate".

The AFL didn't have anything to "investigate" with the young, indigenous player from a non-Big Vic club either. But they still did. Over three matches.

Elpseth complained - on behalf of the alleged victim of course.

This is really unfair, but this is the guy who was on the board if we hadn't done the trade with West Coast to get ahead of Essendon to get Sinn

Which subsequently sent him farther off the rails and culminated in him nearly losing his career alongside Ladhams.

Nothing wrong? He was about an inch away from exposing a woman against her will, on social media?

Collingwood’s Jordan De Goey has revealed he has ADHD and cited the condition for why he made mistakes after he escaped suspension for his Bali nightclub antics.

Oh come on now. There's that "mental health" or along those lines excuse AFL players and clubs trot out.

Plain and simple he'd be better off just saying I'm a dickhead when I'm pissed and people would buy it.

I’m still a tad baffled at all of it. It might pan out quite nicely in the coming years, but jeez.

We had draft capital and cap space.

If Dawson had his heart absolutely set on the Crows regardless, a bit like Ebert did with us, fine. That’s him off the board.

But to then not take a highly-rated young mid — who literally stated Boak is who he endeavours to emulate — in favour of a highly-rated yet injury-prone HBF is a bit cute.

Not only that, but to give up an extra second rounder for the privilege of taking the HBF over the mid. Had we not made any trade on draft night, at least one of Hobbs or Sinn would have been there at our pick.

What do they need to investigate. There's no complaint.

This is a more complicated issue than simply whether there was a complaint from the girl or not. It's about community standards and the reality that young people role model the behaviours of AFL players.

De Goey gets away with things because he's an AFL player. Good for him. But even he has had complaints leveled against him more than once. Normal people are not permitted to behave like he does towards women - it is in fact, criminal behaviour. Kids and even adults should not be viewing his behaviour and seeing it as normal.
