I was wrong about Stengle I thought he'd be bog average for Geelong.
Do you reckon with Koch mouthing off about drugs a few years back he was always a no go for us?

As much as you hate the Crows, you can’t argue they are building a decent rebuild.
They have their key defenders sorted in Butts, Murray, Doedee and Worrell. They have key forwards in Thilthorpe and Fogarty. Small forwards in Rachele, McAdam and more than likely Rankine. Their midfield is their biggest let down, but that is something they can target in a big trade.
I would kill for our club to actually draft and develop talls to allow for a proper structure.
We have them in out and out talent. They have us in a proper structure.

Hows the insecurity that you’ve got to come on the port board and post that after Fogarty kicks 4 goals on one of the worst teams in modern football at their lowest ebb of their worst era
I’m not fooled by Fogartys form. The knock has always been that he’s a limited fat lazy footballer. He’s still a fat limited lazy footballer, crows are just going through that limited lazy fat footballer as much as possible.
It’s not something that’s going to work on a good side where goals need to come from somewhere else as well or teams take seriously.

Take your Port glasses off, Fogarty has had a very good last 3 months and is looking very good now.
Mcentee has been the sub a lot to be fair

Lol exactly. This is the guy who swore Marshall was playing brilliantly over the previous two years (everyone agrees he's been great this year)
Marshall has improved a lot and so has fat fog. 6th in the comp goalkicking since Rd 11
Lol their structure is no where near set.
Thilthorpe looks talented but suffered some real 2nd year blues.
Fogarty is limited and will only get his numbers on a shit team going through him
They have no future ruck
Butts is a reasonable defender but isn’t the standout everyone thought he might be when he first emerged. For example his contested marking numbers are amongst the lowest for any regular key defender in the league. His 0.4 ranks well below Jonas (0.7) and clureys (0.7) and McKenzie’s (1.1) and they’re not considered great marking defenders.
Worrell is 3 games into his career and is more of an unknown than before he was drafted. Murray is a nobody.
The crows spine isn’t even advanced enough to consider a work in progress, it needs work to even get to that stage.
Their midfield lacks any young stars whatsoever.
Rachele is a genuine talent, but while his first half a dozen games were great he’s completely disappeared off the face of the earth since. He’s got a bit to work on before he can carry that team.
Berry and Schoenberg are complementary type players.
Having said that, they’re going to have good draft picks at the end of the year, and in years to come. If their recruiting team started nailing players they could build something.

Guy that told us that Marshall is doing all the right things and will come good if we use him properly plus give him time to get bigger turned out to be right is the same guy that always said Fogarty is a fat lazy FF who can kick goals but costs you with his limitations also turns out to be right about that..
As I said, Fogarty hasn’t remotely gotten better at any of his deficiencies, the crows are just going through him a lot more.

nah man your bias is showing here.
fogarty has figured out how to use his attributes more and developed at least somewhat of a tank. he's improved, objectively you can't really argue that.
Only thing he doesn’t seem to have improved is his personality

He’s bloody good on form, so it’s worth the risk. Just hope it creates holes elsewhere.
A few things have contributed to the Fogs improved form.Hes always been able to mark and kick.
Your defense seems to be pretty stable the second half of the year.Thats given your mids more freedom.
The emergence of Berry as a key midfielder.Has Laird and Dawson more of the hook.Lairds been moving the ball in quickly and kicking longer into the fwdline.The fwds have more 1 on 1 opportunitys.
They also have a coaching staff that are there for the right reasons and will leave if its for the good of the club. Arguably they've gone past us now given we're gonna have at least another year in purgatory while they'll have it in development.
