Melbourne only got Pickett because they were prepared to trade with North and give up a number of picks (including their future first) to get North’s first round pick. And they were completely s**t the following year too - you can do those sorts of trades when you are s**t.
We are shit now too

To be fair to Fagan, he's gotten the Lions to the top 8, 4 years in a row, and whilst he's gotten them to top 4, 3 of those, a 4th is still possible despite tonight's result.

We could only dream of that sorta consistency Vs our up and down Hinkley yo-yo shit.

What happened at 3/4 time with Zorko and petty. I feel asleep during this boring game.

Sounds like a sledge that crossed the line.

Good on the Melbourne people for not completely shutting out media.

Sounds like a sledge of a person nature. Richardson obviously didn't give much away post game, but it was serious enough that he felt it necessary to go and have a chat with his Brisbane counterpart at 3/4 time.

Based on comments on the Melbourne board, I'd say he made disparaging remarks about Petty's sister and her private life.

Brisbane tend to be fragile when it's all on the line

The Dee's reflex handball last night particularly in their fwd 50 was next level, it was executed so well I lost count of the times brisvegas players were caught in no man's land between opponents, allowing the final receiver the space to either put the ball to the advantage of a team mate in a better position, or kick a goal themselves.

They will make a mess of any team that can't exert some control over that aspect of their game.

Hate Zorko. Always remember the footage of him scraping at someones leg scar (?) in a pack like 5 years ago. Look on his face like Stringers last week.

Lots of AFL players shouldnt be allowed to walk the streets.

He spat on Jasper Twodads when Jasper was flat out on the ground a couple of years ago - that's even worse than being our fans' whipping boy and being sent to N0rf.

From the herald sun:

Gold Coast’s Izak Rankine remains uncertain on his AFL home for 2023, nearly withdrawing completely from negotiations with Adelaide, reports SEN SA’s Kym Dillon.

Rankine is torn between heading home on a five-year, $4 million deal at the Crows and staying at the Suns on around $150,000 less per season.

If he does move he’ll require one of the biggest trades of this off-season after a breakout year that has seen him live up to his top-three draft billing.

Making matters more complicated West Coast is said to be willing to use the pre-season draft to nab Rankine if Adelaide does not complete a trade for him.

As if he will pull out of an additional $750k over 5 years if the choice is between Adelaide and GC

About time the Crows abhorrent trade faith has been called out. They walked Hatley to the PSD and threatened with Dawson as well. You offer $900k a year you gotta pay up.

I'd be interested to know what the extra amount would be less tax? Any accountant types here?
