A 50m penalty in AFLW is like 100m in AFL.

With some of the scores I've seen, it's bordering on giving them a win.

It does reflect something Ive seen many times in the AFLW though, which is umpires lookig at the aftermath of a situation to pay a free rather than actually judging what happened. Happened several times for and against us this year when frees were given with zero cause, just because a player went down or protested.

Its bush league umpiring.

I've always said that every 10 years we should be put into a coma for a few months to recharge the battery and go again.

Id agree but umpires get paid somewhere around 200k, and players wages start at 100k.

I was put into an induced coma 6 yrs back. When I woke up a couple of mths later the first thing my dad told me was Kane Cornes wasn't a fireman anymore he was in the media .

Conway is the player who lets the ball fall to the ground, but she's also not the player who the free kick was awarded to. So giving the ball to Conway is still returning the ball to the wrong player and a 50m penalty anyway.
