Walker shouldn't be in the league but given he is, it's hard to deny him an AA guernsey when he kicks 70+ goals.
When it comes to a national team you need to look at more than just on field performance. Especially when it is purely symbolic and a the team will not ever play a game.
The AA team for AFL is all about representation and symbolism.
And there is no way in hell that racist Tex Walker deserves the honour of representing Australia in a game where Indigenous Australians play such an important role.
The AFL needs to have the balls to stand behind their stop racism shit - and here is the perfect opportunity. But they take the easy route
The AFL will hand out life bans to any paying spectator who is caught yelling racist abuse from behind the fence. But they give an AA jumper to a player caught doing it on field if he kicks a bag of goals.

AA awards are full of inconsistencies, like how was Buddy AA Captain in 2018 when he's never captained the Swans.
AA Captain should literally be the best captain/leader of a 22 squad.
Pretty much got it right with Toby Green picked.
I thought only Moore's first half of the season was AA worthy.
Imagine having a season with 17 wins and three All Australians whilst a supposed large portion of the supporter base weren’t invested.

Only kicked 71 goals this year, spud delist. Maybe you'd like him more if he traded 57 of those goals for waving his arms around near an opposition defender a couple more times a game.

Yes but other players have had similar goal tallies and not made the team or sometimes even the squad. For us theres Schulz. Walker, Lynch, etc.
Ben Brown had 60+ 3 years in a row. This aint the one to reward.
In 2020 the games were shorter and there were less of them you dildo carnt fa rk. Also I think you care about Dixon way more than we do
Honestly completely agree that Tex is a racist piece of shit who should have been given a way more severe punishment and the piss weak defences of him in the media have been appalling...
But I do think the AA team should be picked purely on on-field performance, and Tex has been the second best forward in the AFL this year so should be there.
If you start picking based on character its a slippery slope - Toby Greene has a raft of off-field incidents including a drunken attack on a bouncer that has left that bloke with PTSD. Luke Hodge the ultimate sniper on-field and drunk driver off-field was AA 3 times. So I think the only way to handle it is if they take the field that year you judge them based on what they do on the field and that's it. Whether the big racist ****wit should have been allowed to take the field is obviously a different matter.

How many goals did he kick in games that were over because the team was already down by 40+ points? They had literally no other targets.
If Norf actually become competent at some point then larkey will get a lot more attention from defenders.

Larkey was ranked 77th in the comp for score involvements.
Top 4 was Petracca, Greene, Curnow and Walker. They brought other players into the game.
Larkey was your basic lead out take a mark kick a goal forward. If he didn't do that he basically didn't touch it.
Ranked 199th in the comp for goal assists. Walker and Curnow were in the top 30.

Way easier to assist when you have Rachele, Tilthorpe and Rankine around you than some random norf numpties that have probably never seen a football before
