  • In short: Collingwood's Nathan Murphy says he is not in the 'right frame of mind' to return to match simulations or play following his concussion in last year's AFL grand final.
  • Last December, Murphy was cleared by the AFL's concussion panel, who gave him the green light to resume playing.
  • What's next: Murphy will continue working in a modified training program until he is ready to take the next step, taking part in match simulatio

Carlton coach Michael Voss wants to take his team to “another level” after signing a contract extension until the end of 2026 which will allow him to push for a drought-breaking premiership win.

So I guess Collingwood aren’t opposed to one club using another clubs colors, at least when they are doing it anyway.

That’s the sponsor’s colour.
MA Services Group.

Adelaide Football Club chairman John Olsen says the cost of building new headquarters at Thebarton Oval has risen to over $100 million and the bill is being watched “all the time” to make sure the Crows can afford the project. Adelaide Crows ‘cannot afford’ more delays on Thebarton Oval

I dpn't know if he's still involved with this project, but I see that the Victorian dude who was backing their Brompton dream palace has decided to buy the Perth Glory soccer team instead.

Oily Johnny O playing the victim again whilst pressuring everybody (read local resident objectors) we need to hurry this up

it's costing us more and more each day. Tell you what, save the tax payer millions and stay at the swamp. It suits you.

This is the man who gave us the AO hotel via a $40m loan from the tax payer on the promise it would make money.

As of now iirc no repayments have been made.

My take from that is $20m of debt to cover the Crow’s portion $100m+ facility. I’m also amazed at the council is chipping in $11m - if I was a rate payer, I would question that.

The whole of the Port stage 3 was $27m. I get building ovals is expensive, but this sounds excessive.

(Also, Port should be debt free by then, so should the Crows just hand in their licence? 😉)

"The state and federal governments are contributing $30 million to the project while the City of West Torrens is chipping in $11.26 million. "

No wonder Kevin Osborn was so confident about getting more government funding when I asked him about funding for the Stage 4 of Alberton Oval redevelopment, after the AGM finished last Friday. I wrote a bit about the conversation in the AGM thread.

So far Port have received $15m from the feds, $3mil from the state government and a $220k contribution for the electricity infrastructure upgrade need for the new lights from the City of Port Adelaide & Enfield council.

I heard the crows reckon they can get around $20m for selling their buildings at West Lakes. But they don't own the land they are build on, the SANFL sold that to Commercial and General, and those buildings would be zoned non residential, so its going to be difficult for them to get their expected sales proceeds.

So the crows are hoping for $41m from 3 levels of government, $5m-$10m from AFL, the AFL will want another high standard AFLW ground, $20m from West Lakes property, $20m from debt, $10m -$15m from their corporate partners and their cash reserves.
