Game Day Port v Bulldogs Round 19, 2015

What really hurts is that 2 years of hard work to regain 5 years of lost respect has been anally r*ped in yet another absolute sh*t season.

Today was no better than many of those pathetically inept performances circa 2008-12, we still have far too many mentally weak players, plus a senior coach who seems to have NFI once his primary game plan is dismantled, and that does not bode well for the future, regardless of who we pick up in the trade period.

If M.P. had been in charge today the team could not have looked any worse, and there is simply no guarantee that Ken will turn things around next season either.
I have a sinking feeling he may have run his race, and geez do I hope that feeling is wrong. :(

Why would the players give a shit about putting in the extra effort if it isn't going to influence any decision about their future? .

Pride in performance for a start.

When your coach says "It doesn't really matter what you do in the last four or five games, the decision has already been made whether you stay on the list" then you get performances like today. Why would the players give a shit about putting in the extra effort if it isn't going to influence any decision about their future?

It's clear that the hunger is the main thing that is missing from this team at the moment. Team defense is all about desire rather than skill, and we just don't have it. We haven't had it all year.
I agree with the part about the hunger not being there. But they should care about winning every game or they're ****ing worthless. They shouldn't need to be threatened with being cut at the end of the year to put in an effort.

Kens presser:

I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME.

Thanks guys.

I'VE BEEN IN FOOTY A LONG TIME and I have never seen a player do what Jasper pittard did today

Or Jarman Impey, or Jake Neade, or Andrew Moore, or Matt Lobbe, or Jack Hombsch or Cam O'Shea

We have numerous guys who spudded it up.

And I haven't touched on our protected species leadership group who were utterly useless in the quarter I watched.

Will be interesting to see how the Bulldogs juggle their salary cap in coming years when their young guns come up for contract renewal, especially with what Boyd is reportedly earning.

I'd love to see that too but he won't. He's part of the problem and deep down he knows it too. You can't be all pissed at somebody else when you know part of the blame is with you as well.

Right on the money, unless Ken is an absolute dill ( which obviously he isn't ) he will know he f***** up from early in the preseason.
The coaching group and the playing group both lost their hunger, and appeared at times to just expect it to happen, the AFL comp is way too tough a gig for that, you need 100% committment from everybody.

Whether Ken can turn it around is the great unknown, but he should be very aware that a sh*t 2016, and his once very promising senior coaching career could be in very real danger of coming to a shuddering halt.
