When things were up in the air, about the Magpies becoming our reserve team in the SANfl, I had reservations. IMO our reserve team should play in the VFL. The SANFL standard has a bearing on the development of our players, Moore, Young, and so on. From what i can see, our reserve team also is inflicted with poor skills and average performances. The thing is when you have a side with a sprinkling of (so called) AFL players, it's easy to be fooled, when they beat the likes of South A and West A. Just my thoughts.

Massive disappointment. Was barracking for Wingard to get 3 but he didn't.
Rest of it, meh, playing for draft picks now there is no way we can fix this over the next 4 weeks.

When your coach says "It doesn't really matter what you do in the last four or five games, the decision has already been made whether you stay on the list" then you get performances like today. Why would the players give a shit about putting in the extra effort if it isn't going to influence any decision about their future?
We'll put aside the fact they get a paycheck most of us will never see in our lifetime to do their best, and most would get sacked if they just did shit jobs as they didn't get ego stroked by the boss.

I'll be the contrarian and say that statement was fine to make. It only applies to those on the fringe for a start. I mean Robbie Gray and Chad Wingard were seriously there going "Gee, I was only playing great footy because I was 50/50 on whether I'd be on the list next year, or the club would delist me"?!

And for those on the fringe, it was you don't save or lose your career in ONLY 3 or 4 games, but if you're on the edge and there are hard choices to make I'd want to make sure that if I'm walking that fence between keep and go, that I do that little bit to land on the right side.

I'd go as far as to say that statement was a great mental test by the club for the fringe players to see who wants to play for the club and not just when they think a good game will benefit them. And much as it shocks me to say it, except for Sam Gray  , the fringe players failed the test they didn't know they were taking.

A few injuries ... Clearly isn't the reason we have fallen this low.

Exactly. To put it bluntly, anyone who thinks injuries explains such an insipid performance from the lads today has rocks in the head. There is NO excuse, absolutely NO excuse for not working hard on gameday. Way too many passengers.

A few injuries ... Clearly isn't the reason we have fallen this low.

Clearly. But I'm seeing this statement all over social media with the same frequency of "THE TARPS WILL BE OUT NEXT WEEK HERPADERPA".

Lobbe blowing out a quad the week of the Freo game just as Ryder, coming off no preseason, found out he was playing after the original ASADA/Tribunal decision, wasn't exactly the greatest preparation for that particular experiment.

First time all season i didn't watch until the very end. I have no issues getting beat by a better team, but it is infuriating to watch when there is such little resistance. Our intensity and work rate was woeful! We have so many things that need to be addressed in the off-season, otherwise we'll be in the same spot again this time next year.

Credit to the Dogs though, they are a very slick and well coached team. Exciting to watch!

Well atleast the Bulldogs put us out of our misery for 2015 and then double tapped just to make sure.

I'm glad our season is over today to be honest.. we didn't show anything worthy of finals this year.

Time to hit the reset button and focus on getting the right start to 2016.. Hopefully the Essendon issue is wrapped up by then (hurts us too).
