60,611 average across 3 home and away games at our Victorian home ground (with the likliehood of boosting that further this week?)

Speaking of which, no response to my post fixing up your faulty Bulldogs attendances?

I guess when you can't pull 20,000 when your a top 4 club, what hope of you got?

At the end of the day, membership revenue takes a back seat to the big picture at football clubs...premierships, profit, revenue and sponsorship revenue

Whether or not our 52,000 members equate to 52,000 Adelaide memberships in terms of revenue is moot if we're generating more profit, revenue and sponsorship revenue

All means MOOT hey hawkk......thats why your always show boating hawthorns membership figures!!!

Btw us doggies supporters know you have some type of deep hatred for our mob, maybe its because hawthorn voted in favour to merge and bulldogs never have I dont know but please stop with the bagging and crap on other clubs.

Just worry about hawthorn trying to win a football game ffs and I'll worry about my dogs trying to win our 2nd flag.

We never voted to merge - that was Melbourne.
I think that our membership tally is excellent for a bottom 8 club.
Wait till we start winning!

I'm not one to get into a slanging match, but you need a history lesson.

Is there any stats on the average value of memberships?

I know for example, a West Coast member costs more than a Freo one.

Fair dinkum? What does an adult membership cost there?

Freo's prices for an adult member:
Premium Gold - $580
Premium - $490
Standard - $335
Budget - $250

And that is ******* expensive compared to just about every other club. There are some Victorian clubs where $580 a year gets you into some exclusive group which gets you presidents lunches and the like.

Hawks:

Not sure about the coterie groups, presidents luncheon, etc. Kennedy and Gold are from memory but would be about right (maybe a year or two old).

The generic reserved seating and GA prices are:

Victoria - (11 games or 19 games. 11 games listed)
Kennedy (waiting list), $480.
Gold (waiting list), 380
Silver - 248
Gen Ad - 170

Regional/Interstate - (5 Games anywhere)
Silver - 183
Interstate GA - 105

Tassie - (4 games, only in Tassie)
Hudson - 147 (waiting list)
Eade - 126
Pritchard - 100
Tas GA - 75

People here are a little confused it would seem so let me break it down for you.

Hawthorn last year as well as this year has about 52k members. Of that last year 7k were 4 game members from Tasmania, that figure is about 8k this year. Hawthorn does sell 1 game Tasmania memberships (they aren't included in our total as they are non-ticketed). We sell other non-ticketed memberships however the AFL doesn't count them and the Hawthorn Football Club doesn't count any non-ticketed memberships on their website. The HFC doesn't sell 3 game memberships. Is that really that hard to understand???

Whats the most games offered under a Hawks 2010 package, e.g Pies 18, Bombers 19, Eagles 11.

ours a couple of bucks cheaper than WCE.

Looking at Collingwood, their standard 11 game package is $170 - approximately half what a Freo or Dockers membership is for the same number of games. So if you were to assume the vast majority of the memberships were standard, then every Fremantle/West Coast is worth double the revenue compared to a Vic club. No wonder we're rolling in $$$.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't a standard freo/west coast membership include a seat? The standard Victorian memberships are only general admin, so if you want to guarentee a seat or if you don't wanna sit up high with the birds you generally have to pre book a seat ($10-$30 a match).

Actually, a big majority of the seats at Subiaco are premium or better. I'd say about 1/5th of the seats are standard and another 1/5th of the seats are budget or public reserve (i.e the shithouse seats they leave for weekly sale).
Some of the seats they classify as 'premium' are laughable - like a heap of seats behind the goals or in pockets.

If the the powers that be at the Hawks had made up a more plausible figure for them, say 28,000 (understanding that their real membership, those with 11 game memberships or more is well under 20,000), some people may have believed them.

Not even their stupidest supporters believe this figure (or perhaps a handful are dim enough) so how do they expect the rest of us to believe it. Especially when they struggle to get 10 to 15,000 of their members to a home game?

60,745 across 4 games at the MCG, granted our Tasmanian and Docklands games were underwhelming but not bad for a club that is 1-5.

To suggest that we struggle to get 10-15,000 members is ridiculous considering that list includes the biggest, 4th, 7th and 8th largest membership Victorian clubs.

Finally, while we have disappointed on the field, every other department at the Club is doing so well this year.

In particular, with your support our Membership department has created another record, with Hawthorn being the first club in VFL/AFL history to record more than 50,000 members in successive years.

We have over 8,000 members in Tassie alone, which is a superb achievement so thank you Tasmanians. And our merchandise and commercial divisions are at the top of the table. So your Club is healthy, growing and happy, but our on-field performance has to be corrected.

52,280 - 8,000+ = 43-44,000

Where do Richmond rank?

So probably they had a best 30,000 supporters at each of those games and at best 2/3 of them were members, so at very best 20,000 members attending the game but probably less than 15,000. Of those, I wonder how many held 11 game memberships.

So your absolutely correct. 15,000 was obviously unrealistically high.

I suspect if membership totals that Hawthorn released reflected the truth they would likely come 15th or 16th. Hence their desire to bullshit.

But like I said: If you are going to bullshit, at least make it realistic.
Not even you Hawkk believe the current Hawthorn membership numbers.
No one does.
No one could be that naive.
