38 players set personal bests in their time trials :oops::oops::oops:
Maybe all of them were really hurting after that Post incident that ruined their season and they all want to make sure that this season one shitty umpiring decision doesn't cost them a finals place.

This to me says they boys are bloody hungry and want to be better.

I think they are understanding what is required

Interesting to see the shape of the new draftees. Remember when they would all arrive looking like drinks of water? Now they've got guns - and don't lok at all out place.
I said it the other day.. kids are just getting bigger and bigger with every passing year..

look at the Nrl and kids like Payne Hass..

was 194cm and 120kg at the age of 17…

imagine trying to feed something like that.. would eat you out of house and home.

but they just get bigger and bigger at younger ages.

KPF‘s and KPD’s 20 - 30 years ago were 185-195cm..

now they are pushing 2m and are over 90kgs at the age of 17.. its ludicrous.

if anyone of us tried to tackle this lad in full flight we would probably die. Thats not an exaggeration.

i blame the hormones in chicken!

The only thing holding him back is himself
I read a quote today from that muppet bickley who said “the crows cant throw him in the deep end like they did with McAsey.”

fxxk off bickley you tosser.

if the lad trains the house down, plays well in the preseason trial then he’s just got to in for Round 1.

To those that rubbished the suggestion...V

THRILLTHORPE

This looms as the most important pre-season of Riley Thilthorpe’s young career so far.

And, while it is early days, it looks like the former No. 2 pick is rising to the challenge.

The 21-year-old looked in ripping shape at West Lakes on Monday and moved extremely well on day one of pre-season.

He ended the 2023 campaign out of form and Burgess said the Crows had changed how the 202cm forward/ruck had approached his off-season.

Thilthorpe himself looked to be thrilled with how he was travelling, with a nice snap for a goal celebrated passionately.

“He looks like he has taken his off-season to another level Riley, he has done a few different things this off-season and I think they are going to pay off for him,” Burgess said.

“Normally what Riley does he just goes and runs, and runs, and runs because that is his weapon but we have just shortened it up a little bit and thrown in a bit of boxing and some other things.

“Riley knows that his ticket to where we all want him to go to is through hard work and truly there is nobody that works harder than him.

“So I’m really confident he will attack the pre-season really well.”
He could use some agro....

My bad.. thought you were talking about Curtin.

one of my old mates up here on the Goldy does a lot of boxing.. trains with Les Sherrington and they run boxing “boot camps” for blokes in their 40’s and 50’s looking to get fit and a get a bit of testosterone back in the blood flow.

great blokes too.

was so tempted a few months ago to email the club and tell them to contact these lads and send TT up to the goldy for a fortnight over summer to join them for a boxing boot camp.

have said all year the kid just looks a bit timid.. like he needs to jump in the ring and be boxed around a bit to make him realise he’s built like Tarzan so he should start fxxkn playing like him and not like Jane.

get some confidence in his body and knock the timidness out of him.

With an ice hockey background, you'd think he would be a hard nut.

Didn't the AFL put a ban on Boxing last year ....as part of their concussion clamp down ?

Cant recall it.. But there’s an AFLW player that is also a boxer isnt there?.. and they havent stopped her..
She was boxing professionally, out of season ....maybe Thilthorpe could also box "out of season"

I assume the Clubs assume control once PS starts ...or would it be Nov 1st, when the new Contract Period starts ?
