That was the players that gave him that nickname, obviously for a reason.

No doubt endurance is not his forte though.
Just proves a point that most of them are not too smart then as Winx was known for her galloping ability, yet to see max get out of a trot

Probably because everyone was declaring him a champion or a thoroughbred before he was even drafted.

I had asthma for the first 17 years of my life, something that I think pretty much everyone else in my immediate family also had. Sometimes had it so badly that I had to go on the pump.

Then I got CFS, radically changed my diet- to eliminate things like almost all dairy and sugar, etc- and I haven’t had asthma for the 26 years since.

Even though asthma is a supposedly chronic condition that is incurable and that you will have your entire life.

I had it when I was a kid and it just went away by itself. Have other lung issues due to a collapsed lung from broken ribs and then again years later due to a bad case of pneumonia, but at least the asthma cleared up 😅

Jesus, obviously they mean that they weren't in our top choice list which is a fair assessment. I liked him but there was no way I wanted to spend a top pick on a project ruck.

Getting guys like Ari and Dodson....even Hotton who were sliders is good business. If you snag a few players that hit outside the first few rounds you can really improve your list fast.
Yep. Hawthorn picked Grainger-B early, not sure Ward is high level and was picked early. But then Newcombe, Day, Lewis, Leek, Moore, etc. That’s good business.

She recently gave birth & we all know how that came about. 😱

I had migraines for most of my childhood. Eliminated trigger foods for abit. Gradually introduced them back & the one that stood out, was manufactured orange juice. Never had it or migraines since.

My mom had it bad , and i was told about some scary experiences as a child. Then in her late teens played Hockey, and continued to her late 40s ( a goally in the end ). I'm sure the fitness helped. She never had serious issues as an adult.

Obviously not ideal for Henry to still be significantly affected by that knee, but I think he’s the type of player where if you can get him going in the latter half of the season in preparation for finals, then it’s a good result

Kind of like what Carlton did with Jack Martin for a few years - he made a big difference when fit

An opportunity for other guys to get a look in earlier in the season and prove their worth; draftees, young players etc

I’ve died on the hospital trolley twice thanks to it, it permanently ruined my lungs as a child, and even now it causes me issues.

It’s a dick of a condition.

Melbourne/vic is one of the asthma capitals of the world, had mild asthma as a kid, and since then it’s mostly gone away, but once every 4 or so years all the pollen and hayfever and shit in Melbourne will kick up in conjunction with a thunderstorm or some shit and it comes back in full flight.

It does come and go for some people, but I would urge anyone who thinks it’s gone away for them entirely to still have an asthma plan (especially if ur in Victoria), many Victorians are seriously sick every year because they just assumed their asthma is gone for good, just worth keep in mind
