He's the kind of special player to build a team around. Oh boy it's going to be wonderful watching him run around for the next 15+ years.

That one feels pretty unfair. We did ourselves no favours early. But to go down by one point with some of those umpiring decisions. Papley's push in the back goal when he didn't even control the mark was an awful error by the umpires. Proud of the players for sticking it out.

Clearly a game where a decision here or there has an impact on the result…

A lot to take out of this season and build on in 2023.

Hopefully a few smart list changes and a fire in the belly will see us climb a rung next year.
